Dr. Jeffrey Kahn, MD

Have a serious knee deficiency from injury and two arthroscopic "clean ups" Big mistake. In constant pain for several years. saw three cutting edge orthopedic surgeons one in syracuse two in naples fl . the one in syracuse advised knee replacement solely . one in fla injected a steroid and upon that wearing off he used synvisc-one. just a quick painful jab both times ,no electronic guidance at all or removal of excess fluid .My internist suggested i see Dr Kahn. lots of analysis and no nonsense discussion . he suggested the synvisc therapy . He painlessly withdrew excess fluid . the injection was guided by i believe sonogram so as to gain best placement . Have followed his suggestions. I have been basically pain free for 4 years. I highly recommend Dr. Kahn as extremely Knowledgeable and capable caring doctor in his field , for Anyone with pain, Dr Kahn is the best option in upstate new york maybe anywhere! A very happy patient !!

The more I’ve gone on and gotten help from other doctors, the more disappointed I’ve become with the help I got from Dr. Kahn because I’ve realized all the things that he didn’t do for me. Dr. Kahn believed me when I told him I was in pain despite the fact that my MRI didn’t show anything too severely wrong (I did have straightening of the cervical lordosis), and he also diagnosed me with certain problems. He told me that one of my hips was higher than the other one, and he told me that I had forward head posture. He sent me to a physical therapist that helped me figure out how to release my trigger points. All these things were good. The problem is, I was only helped a little bit because he missed my most severe problem. I had tissue damage in my neck and back. I eventually saw a prolotherapist that sent me to do a DMX (digital motion x-ray), and the damage came up on the imaging. I also saw another prolotherapist that looked at me with guided ultrasound and saw that I had muscle… damage and that my obliquus capitis inferior muscle was torn. I have gotten some help for my tissue damage through doing regenerative injection treatments (such as PRP injections), and I think it’s unfortunate that Dr. Kahn didn’t recommend that I do them when I saw him.
