Dr. Kalo earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his Doctorate Degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He did his Internship at Lansing General Hospital in Lansing Michigan and his Orthopaedic Residency at Michigan State University. Dr. Kalo is Board Certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He and his family come to us from Fargo ND where he was in private practice. While in Fargo he served as Team Physician and Orthopaedic Surgeon for North Dakota State University. He also served as a clinical instructor at the University of North Dakota Medical School and was an instructor for the North Dakota State University Athletic Training Program for 10 years.

Dr. Kalo has a special interest and qualification in shoulder and knee arthroscopy, articular cartilage repair, sports medicine and total joint replacement.

Dr. Kalo is a caring doctor who is excellent at explaining everything and answering all questions. I wish him the best in retirement his knowledge and experience will be hard to replace!

Very pleased with the care I have received by both Dr Kalo and his staff. He explained everything in detail and got me in right away. Would recommend him to family and friends.

Just got my shoulder repaired. Barely even hurt. No pain pills. Obviously he's getting better. ?? He's awesome!!

Always enjoy visiting with Dr. Kalo. He always explains in a way that I can understand. He's already done my hip, knee and other shoulder. Very pleased, I think he's a "Rock Star".

Dr. Kalo is great! He cares about his patients & nurses,& never talks down to anyone.He’s an excellent doctor, & I feel the best at OI. Brooke, his head nurse, is the best too.

Doctor Jeffrey Kalo Is friendly, caring, knowledgeable, and professional. I always leave my appointments feeling important, listened to, and helped. Doctor Kalo always greets me with a smile, a handshake, and sometimes a little funny word such as"Stumpy" lol I love that he can be funny because it makes the fun. I feel comfortable around doctor Kalo and would refer him to all my family and friends. Absolutely wonderful doctor. I wish more physicians were like him.

My experience at Orthopedic Institute was great as it always is. Dr. KALO & his staff are amazing! So kind, thoughtful & explain any issues your having & what they can do to improve your health. Always listening to your comments & answering questions. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I've had a knee replacement with Dr. Kalo & it's like new, look forward to have the other one done.
