Dr Jeffrey Kamradt, MD

This doctor had no time for me while my husband was dying. I spoke with him twice in three weeks. The first time the call lasted two minutes at most! The second time his words were "we've had this conversation". Really? This is what you say to a dying man's wife???? I told him that he may do this everyday but this was my first time! He supposedly told my husband what was happening but obviously didn't think he should take time out of his schedule to talk with me to let me know. I found out two days before my husband died that he was stage 4. Sorry Doc I wouldn't bring my dog to you. Thanks for nothing. You are about as compassionate as a rock...

no cohesive care....it's a factory

This doctor delivers a strong package of combined skill sets that deliver excellence of care to the patient. Many doctors hinder the doctor-patient relationship with huge egos and an unwillingness to spend time answering all questions big & small. Not so with Dr. Kamradt. He builds confidence and positive energy, so important when treating cancers. Learning and teaching is a mutually shared experience in his office, with no question left unanswered. We are pleased & blessed to have Dr. Kamradt lead our medical team.

Dr. Kamradt was just the person we needed! He was approachable, knowledgeable, patient, caring and very giving of his time and expertise. Having been to other Doctors who were intimidated by our questions, Dr. K was receptive and welcoming of any and all questions we had. His answers were thorough and complete. When a question was posed of which he did not know the answer, he told us so saying the answer would be researched & he back to us with the answer. Very impressive indeed that his ego didn't get in the way! We are indeed very lucky to have connected to Dr. Kamradt and would highly recommend his services without hesitation. Improvement needs to be made with his receptionists. They did not greet us even though there was no one else in the waiting area, giving the impression of being cold & uncaring. Their demeanor was exuding a feeling of "go away and don't bother us". When papers were handed our way for completion on a clip board with pen, no explanation was given by the… receptionist. A few minutes later, a nurse greeted us and then asked if the reception area had explained the paperwork. When we said "no", she helpfully lead us through the forms, providing facilitating tips. It was the nurse who also pointed out the orange juice and coffee available to us in the waiting area. This was not her job, but we appreciated her outreach. The nursing staff was very warm, friendly, welcoming and reassuring. The reception staff needs training and education to bring them up to the rest of Dr. Kamradt's high standards. They detract from an overall excellent office visit experience.

Dr. K. has been my oncologist since I was diagnosed with cancer. He isvery,very kind...a good listener and explains all medical terminologyin lay terms easy to understand. I always have the feeling he is speaking to me, not at me. Couldn't ask for a better oncologist! Hartford Hospital is lucky to have him.
