Dr. Jeffrey Thomas Laphen, MD

Dr. Jeffrey Laphen reminds me of doctors I knew years ago. I'm a 'senior citizen.' He is just plain GOOD. He is a solid, responsible, knowledgeable, helpful doctor and person. He is a man of integrity. He listens. He is pro-patient and proactive in the care of those who come requesting his help. Dr. Laphen has been our doctor for many years and I wish I wrote this review sooner. He is everything, both personally and professionally, you want in a caring, knowledgeable, competent physician.

I have been a patient of Dr. Laphen's for ~10 years. He is an insightful, caring professional who actually talks to his patients, takes a whole person view and provides counseling and treatment that is on the mark. He is also a smart and insightful professional with a very engaging personality. The office team at both the Jamison and Doylestown offices are also helpful and highly competent. I did not want to rush my evaluation but after ten years I'm comfortable with a "5" rating, and that only because higher scores are not available.

Impatient because I asked a question. He became irritated because I spoke. I was extremely uncomfortable to be around him.

Don't grow old under his care, you will regret it.

Condescending, dismissive, and if you don’t agree with him you get sarcasm and eye rolls.

Dr. Laphen is a great doctor. After moving from the city to the burbs, I was worried about finding a high-caliber doc outside of the city. Worries have been answered with Dr. Laphen: he will ask you several times if you have any questions, you never feel rushed, if you have a question and he's not 100% sure what the answer is, he'll research it together with you while you're there. He has a proactive but not too aggressive approach with treatment, and maintained impressive patience during a time when I was less than amiable.

After 20 years of unsuccessfully quieting smoking Dr. Laphen had a frank conversation with me, identified the core issue, treated it, and now I am at my 1 year anniversary without a cigarette. I COULD NOT do this on my own. He is one of the good ones!

My wife and I have both had Dr. Laphen as our primary care physician since moving to Jamison, PA five years ago. Excellent diagnostic skills, actually seems to care and handles our needs flawlessly.
