Dr. Jeffrey David Lemberg, MD

I saw Dr Jeffrey Lemberg for an EMG because I have parasthesis in my forefoot. He had me undressed from the waist down, wearing a gown, and had me lay down and turn over several times. He left the door open throughout the entire procedure. There was a physical therapy center literally around the corner, and anyone could’ve seen me. Throughout the procedure he told of very inappropriate things like how he used to electrocute his sister and dog when he was young. When he asked if it hurt, I said yes, and he actually made fun of me saying “you’ll live”! I’m partially disabled and he was prodding me, and by that point I was afraid of him, so I just stayed quiet and tried to relax to get the best possible test results. Towards the end he asked again if I was in pain, and I said I was getting a migraine because I was hit by a car while jogging, and again he said “oh don’t worry, you’ll live, you’ll live“. I’ve had an EMG before and never had to have wads of cotton taped over several puncture… wounds because of bleeding, but after that test I did. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. When I got home I discovered multiple burn marks, as well. I couldn’t believe it when I read his report. He started by stating that I was agitated. Afraid and in pain are not the same as agitated. I barely said a word and was in tears with pain by the end. What a bully. Just because I didn’t laugh at his creepy “jokes” he felt the need to slander me to another physician. Then he said the test results were inconclusive because I did a submaximal effort. That is absolutely not true. I did the very best I could, but there were three times when I simply couldn’t do a contraction. The appropriate conclusion should have been that I have a nerve problem when I’m literally in tears in pain and cannot contract the muscle. I just saw my surgeon yesterday. I have to have the test redone because the conclusion was erroneous. All that pain and bullying for nothing. Needless to say, I will never go back to him, and I do not recommend him to anyone. I’ve never filed a complaint against the doctor before, but this is probably going to be my first.

Not only did he miss it, which a recent mri confirmed, he belittled me by suggesting I had read about the condition online and dreamt it up. I had lost all strength in my right hand about 6 months prior to seeing him, orthopedic doctors thought I injured a nerve, and since then I've had periods of intense pain down the arm and numbness into the fingers. I am in physical therapy and seeing surgeon in 3 days. The worst.

I have to say for an unpleasant test I had, Dr. Lemberg with his sense of humor made it enjoyable to say the least!! I also had a very good experience with the receptionist, she called me right back and scheduled me immediately. I am very happy I chose to go to Dr. Lemberg for my testing and I'm going to make sure I mention this to my referring doctor.

I agree with another post regarding the receptionist secretary and refuse to tolerate such abuse. People come to a doctor because they have issues and are usually in pain. Compassion is expected. Nasty tone and abrupt responses are not appreciated. We have choices and I choose not to subject myself to this behavior.

Dr Lemberg was great! He was very caring and concerned about my health. He explained the EMG test he was going to do on me. During the test, to keep my mind off of it, he was talking to me and making me laugh to try to keep my mind occupied and off of the test. He let me know everything that was going on with the test. His secretary was the nicest person! There is a comment about the secretary on here, and I disagree with it. Must be a different secretary because this one was great!! I would recommend Dr Lemberg to anybody! Nice and caring Dr.

The receptionist is miserable! I've never met someone so rude and miserable. I was calling to make a new patient appointment, but didn't bother because this lady was so mean and rude. I've heard good things about the doctor, but I was not able to see him due to his poor quality staff.
