Dr. Jeffery Lester, MD

I had blood work he did not even say good bad oe what ever. He said I do not like your heart beat. I want to take an ekg . He takes the ehg and says he will fax it to my cardiologist. One week later he calls and said I ran out of the office without getting the ekg. Funny I had a copy of it . One week latter I was in the hospital with heart problems. My cardiologist said no copy of ekg. Thank you Dr. Lester great work. he is always in a hurry. You cannot ask questions.

I went to Dr. Lester for my yearly visit. I had blood work he did not even say anything about it good bad or what ever. He said he did not like my heart sound so he took an ekg. One week later he calls and said I ran out of the office and did not get the ekg but I had a copy of it at my house. His nurse said she would fax it to my cardiologist he did not fax it. One week later I was in the hospital. Great job Dr. Lester. He is in a hurry always.

Dr. Lester is attentive, caring, thorough and knowledgeable. I am sensing light at the tunnel's end following my visit today. He ordered tests and results indicated his suspicion, an illness of which I have never before been diagnosed and I have been to many doctors in upstate NY and VT. The diagnosis fits me to a tee. His scripts and plan of care have me on cloud 9. He also referred me to his colleagues at Tampa General for further plan of care and gave appointment for follow-up with he 3 to 4 months.

I live 100 feet from Dr. Lesters office on the cul de sac,Costa St. that ends at the U.S. Postal office.I went in for my scheduled visit at 9;15 and was engrossed in a novel about WW1,before I became aware it was 10:20 and I hadn't yet been called back.I approached his receptionist and asked why I hadn't been called and was told my appointment was for 11:30.I presented my appointment card which clearly had 9:20 written on it which the young lady had given me herself my previous visit.She first insinuated I had made the card myself,before I pointed out I had no access and it was her hand that clearly had filled the card out.I asked,if it was for 11:30,why hadn't she told me I was 2 hours early???I became indignant and she verbally berated me and after I sat down,another patient gave me her phone number and stated she would verify everything this woman had done and said.Over hearing this exchange I was then told to get out of the office,because I WAS DISTURBING OTHERS, before she calls… the police.Dr. Lester never bothered to call me,or even give me my records and 3 months later,after a scathing review asked me to contact him.If a patient of mine was verbally accosted and threatened by my receptionist,I would have been the one making the phone calls.This Dr.,in retrospect,was uncaring and frankly did nothing but refer me to others.He referred me to an oncologist,despite having zero signs or syptoms of caner and I am positive he own dispositive manner was due to financial kickbacks for referrals.I have begun a complaint with the Florida medical board after careful consideration and getting signed affidavits from the witness and one of her friends who a,lso witmnessed this abuse.I do have serious health issues,however lESTER only saw fit to see me every 6 months.I now see Dr Riazudeen,Dr, Deen,and he sees me monthly.does EKG's and performs a litany of tests.Dr. Lester is incompetent,uncaring AND ACCEPTS,IN MY OPINION,KICKBACKS FOR REFERALS.

My husband and I were transferred to Dr. Lester because our previous doctor (in the same office) left. My husband couldn't get in to see him for several weeks, and we were leaving the day after to go out of town for a couple months (unable to receive packages). During that time, his prescription was going to run out. When I saw Dr. Lester, I explained the situation and asked him to help us get a new prescription early. He agreed to do it. Four phone calls later, it still wasn't done, and I was given a different story by each person in the office I spoke with. One person said Dr. Lester wasn't going to do the prescription without seeing him, even though he had agreed to do so. Apparently Dr. Lester didn't care that a patient would be out of his medication for six weeks, with no ability to get more while away. Behind this uncaring doctor is a staff that is equally uncaring, condescending and rude. We're looking for a new doctor.

Takes his time and listens!

I see no button on this website for the doctor to leave a comment on the patient reviews. I find that very strange. Sometimes it is useful for a physician to leave a comment on certain reviews to provide context for the visit. Medicine has always been an imperfect science and sometimes patients get very angry when you don't have treatments that help them. The man who wrote the 1 star review is a 90 year old gentleman who has seen several neurologists for a serious neurological disease. I offered him three different medication options that might help with his symptoms. In his poor review he failed to mention his wife asked me for a hospice referral which I immediately ordered. I tried to explain to him his disease and printed out information for him and his wife and referred him to someone who had more experience with this rare neurological disease than I have had. He was very upset that I was not able to "fix" him. I told him I had no problem seeing him in the future. At… our Sun City office we work very hard to do our best with every patient. I'm sorry he had a bad experience with our clinic and if he chooses to find another doctor I wish him well.

There is absolutely nothing that I can recommend regarding our visit today with Dr. Lester. He was 'short' and in a big rush to get on to something else. He made it very clear we were 'dismissed'. His staff have made mistakes that were inexcusable in the short time we started with him. There is absolutely no way we will return. He may be very bright, but he lacks in everything else that signifies a good doctor.....

The office frint staff is so discourteous that by the time you get to this doctor you've had it and then he shuffles in and things get worse.There are enough good doctors to avoid this place

Dr. Lester is very knowledgeable and caring. His diagnosis was right on. I very much appreciated his follow up call, care plan and determination in making sure I committed to further testing and treatment.
