Dr. Jeffrey Wayne Mathis, MD

The staff at this is office was very rude and inconsiderate. They do not care about the patients needs. I missed the initial appointment. They told me I needed to find services else where.

For 25 years Dr, Mathis has been my primary care doctor. I have always been pleased. I trust him completely

The incompetence of this medical practice is ridiculous. My husband had 2 catscans done (1 with dye) 9 days ago at an imaging place. No one from this office has called him to let him know the results. The dr doing the catscans said he would have the results in an hour, but told him he was uncertain about the dr's office. My husband called 3 hours after the catscan was done and was told by a nurse at Montgomery Family Medicine that the results were on the dr's desk waiting for him to look at them. My husband called the next day and was given the same lie by a nurse. He called again the next business day and was told a different thing...that the imaging place probably used the wrong fax line. So what effort did this medical practice make to rectify the situation? NONE. They did nothing!!! I had to call today (9 days after the initial catscans) and demand what was going on. I was told by a nurse they had no record of my husband's catscans. Are you kidding me?? After a few minutes of her… litany of all the different methods the imaging place could have used to send his results, I was left with them going to call and find out. Really? And this couldn't be done the second or third time my husband called? It had to take someone getting angry for this office to do their job? Absolutely ridiculous. And to add insult to injury the doctor is out of the office till Monday. Pathetic. Of course, hours after I called the dr's office, miraculously they had the results and called my husband for the FIRST time. He told them he had another episode last night and needed to know the results. Now they say they can have a diffferent doctor look at the results instead of waiting for Dr. Mathis on Monday. Incredible how their website boasts of patient-doctor relationships and only wanting what's best for the patient. Lies, incompetence, and absurdity.

I have been seeing Dr. Mathis about 15 years. During those years I have developed a complicated illness. Dr. Mathis has been good in helping me to relieve my symptoms and making sure I had the prescriptions that I needed. Did whatever blood tests or got specialists involved when something didn't appear right. He takes time to listen to you but I think like most male doctors that think that being tired or fatigued is normal for a 40-50 year old woman. It actually took my husband to explain how fatigued I was when I took him along on my next appointment to get the point across. I do recommend Dr. Mathis. He is a caring, gentle, dedicated physician.The staff there is great but I don't really care for his regular nurse.

When we moved to Montgomery Dr. Mathis was recommended to me. On the first visit everything went smoothly, they respected my time. When we talked he actually listened and was able (and willing) to discuss the WHY and WHAT around my situations.Very nice guy and caring.
