Dr. Jeffrey Peter Mcgovern, MD

My daughter had an evaluation with this doctor today for severe insomnia, which has been ongoing for years. He told her that her problem is not severe (she stays awake most of the night), and to try a sleep app on her phone. Please do not waste your time. She came home in tears. A sleep clinic that doesn’t even specialize in insomnia?? He never even asked for her history. Isn’t that the first thing you do with an evaluation? She begged for something to help her get some sleep and he finally gave her some samples to help her sleep. I think she would have had a better experience with a witch doctor.

This guy doesnt listen,he interrupted me 3 times,he never shows compassion and thinks he knows everything.WOULDNT RECOMMEND HITLER TO SEE HIM.

Had a lot of questions for Dr.Mcgovern. He never allowed me to ask or even asked ME if I had any questions.Treated me like a number.

My entire family is treated by Dr. McGovern. My mother is treated for end stage emphysema thru the main office. The front desk staff tend to be rather brusk in manner but the nursing staff and Dr. McGovern are absolutely wonderful! He takes extra time with Mom to be sure she understands her condition and to answer her questions. He even gets down to her eye level by sitting on a short step stool to converse with her! (Major plus for this effort on his part!) My husband and I are treated in the Sleep Lab for sleep apnea. This staff is PHENOMENAL!!! My husband's condition is pretty straight forward and easily treated, however, mine is not so much. Dr. McGovern is very knowledgeable and caring regarding my care and has even called me personally to discuss my care several times! I would highly recommend Dr. McGovern to anyone in need of his expertise!

Connie the receptionist is unbelievably rude. I faxed over a request for my medical records. I called a week later asking when I could pick them up but Connie said she doesn't have my request. I said if it has been lost I can fax it again. She said, "I don't appreciate that comment. I DID NOT SAY IT WAS LOST."! She asked me if I had received a call saying they are ready. I said no, if I had received a call saying they are ready I wouldn't be calling to see if they are ready. Again, she said, "I don't appreciate that comment!" Then she put me on hold and said "You already spoke with someone!". I said yes, but that was a week ago, and I'm calling to see if they are ready to be picked up. She said coldly, "We have 30 days by law to copy records.". I asked if that is the actual time it takes for them. She hung up! She should not be allowed to deal with the public.

Dr. McGovern is a highly professional and caring doctor. He is also just a good physician - accurate diagonosis and reasonable care that can be aggressive when necessary. I highly recommend Dr. McGovern, though he is very busy.
