I FEEL LIKE I GOT MY LIFE BACK. Through gastric by-pass and Dr. Monash's skill and knowledge I have lost 73 LBS and still losing. It has only been 7 months since the surgery. I am able to move and be active again,Just walking to my mail box I would be out of breath. Now my husband and I walk 3 miles 4 days a week. Just the little things in live that some people take for granite like just crossing your legs was impossible for me. Or just finding clothes that would fit. Because of my weight loss I was able to really enjoy my vacation. Just sitting in an air plane sit would have been so uncomfortable. I was able to go snorkeling, getting on and off a boat that would have been impossible before surgery. Because of Dr. Monash and his wonderful staff that walked through the process. Their companion and understanding about being over weight was so comforting. The education I got was wonderful.It will help me to continue to loss the weight and to keep it off in a very healthy way. I had gastric bypass in Texas in 2012. I began having pains that I thought were gas, but kept getting worse. I went to the ER so many times! I saw two different Bariatric surgeons and they couldn't figure it out. My husband was transferred to Arizona, and Dr. Monash was the first person I met. He was amazing! He listened to me, and told me that my pain was due to one of two things and he was right! He did my surgery and my pain was gone right away. I have lost 111 pounds,but I thought that I would have to live in pain. Thank you Dr. Monash for giving me my life back!

I am so blessed to have been able to have the gastric sleeve and especially to have Dr. Monash as my surgeon...he is truly incredible and always so compassionate and caring....Having Bariatric surgery has changed my life in so many ways...I can walk, breathe and sleep so much better....I have more energy than ever before...I can keep up with my grandchildren now! Its one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life...I know that I have been successful because of the genuine support and encouragement that Dr. Monash has given me.

I had gastric bypass by another surgeon in Tucson. I had problems right away. I told him about my pain for months, and he acted like it was my fault. He told me that it from the way I was eating, and I knew that it wasn't! After suffering for months I gave up. My primary care told me about Dr. Monash, and that he fixes a lot of other surgeons patients. I met Dr. Monash a month ago, and he really listened! He found my ulcer, and promised I would feel better. In just 2 days my pain was gone. Thank you Dr. Monash and God bless!

Dr. Monash is a very nice man, as others have stated. He seems sincere with his questions and you really feels like he listens, but doesn't respond appropriately when you have an issue post-op. Dr. Monash ran tests regarding my problem and I was informed the results were "normal". When I was still not feeling well, I obtained my own copies of the results. I found that they were definitely NOT normal, in such a way that my PCM got me in for a STAT appointment with a gastro doc once he saw them. My surgery was successful, but I am very disappointed in my treatment once I had a problem.

Dr Monash has gone above and beyond. He has always fit me into his schedule when needed and takes his time when he sees you. Occasionally the wait time has been long but at least his waiting room is very comfortable which makes the wait time not so unbearable. I am glad that I went to him for my elective surgery and even though I had life threatening complications due to my blood clotting disorder I feel that he saved my life! I would recommend him in a heart beat!

Dr. Monash is an amazing surgeon. I had three polyps that had to come out, and he took out almost my whole colon laparoscopically. I had almost no pain, and was in the hospital for only three days! I have had 9 surgeries, and this was the best experience I could have hoped for

I met with Dr. M after having been referred to him by his uncle. Both doctors are EXCELLENT! He explained my current prognosis, my options for fixing the issue and next steps. He took time with me and made me feel like I was the only patient he had to see that day. I've been to docs where they want to get you on the table for the next procedure but Dr. M made surgery a last resort and wanted to include my thoughts and feelings in every decision made. He is awesome!
