Dr. Jeffrey Charles Parks, MD

Dr. Parks must write his reviews for himself. He is a person who tries to intimidate patients because of his lack of self confidence. He left enormous scars on my husband and said it was laparoscopic! He left him unable to continue his work. After that he defamed him in public, bringing up his lack of weight loss that he said contributed to the complications in surgery. I find this to be false. I would never see this surgeon or even bring my pets to him. There is no way this is an isolated case. He is a horrible unemphatic individual who should not be able to do surgery or even call himself a Doctor. I will not go to UH if this surgeon is operating.

Regrettably I wound up in the ER and while there Dr P made a visit but conveying that the surgery I supposedly needed was more gyn in nature so they wanted to ship me to the hospital that did that more often. But I was refusing surgery in the first place. He still sat with me and talked to me about the treatment that had begun which was a frightening ordeal (NG tube) and told me how it would work (which was more than most); that it might not have to be in 3 days, it could be 1 or 2...Flash forward to my receiving care from the admitting MD I did not know and his staff who was trying to frighten me into doing surgery. I made decision to remove them from my care, and asked for Dr Parks to oversee the rest of my stay. He was wonderful, kind and attentive and I am forever in his debt.

Dr. Parks is the best knows what he talking about and gets the job done!!

I was scheduled for emergency surgery overnight and it didn't happen until the next morning. I asked dr parks why it hadn't taken place over night and his response was he didn't want to get up at that time of night. When calling his office staff, the receptionist or whoever she is things she is a dr herself. Telling me I'm do this wrong and not returning my calls. She is terrible! She is rude and inconsiderate.

Well Dr. Parks had an accurate diagnosis for my infection, he lacked empathy. I was already in severe pain and he lanced the wound without first numbing me.

OFFICE STAFF WAS CURT. DOCTOR NEVER CALLED TO FOLLOW UP ON HOW PATIENT WAS DOING AFTER SURGERY.

Dr Parks is a skillful surgeon that is very professional and his bedside manner is one of upmost concern for his patients. I have had 3 long years of medical issues and I never felt more secure with any of the surgical outcomes. He and his staff have always put my needs first and I can never be more thankful for his skill and his theoputic personality.

Dr. Parks asked many questions to aid in an appropriate diagnosis. His explanation of the surgical procedure was clear and thorough. The surgery itself was more complicated than intended because he found a second hernia and I am glad that both hernias were repaired. However, when I called his office after the surgery with concerns his office staff, instead of reporting my symptoms to the doctor and having call me, tried to offer advice.
