Dr. Jeffrey Pearson

1 star is being generous. We were looking forward to meeting with Dr. Pearson to have my son's persistent cough checked out and in hopes of finding a good doc for our whole family. My husband found him based on his high reviews and that Dr. Pearson incorporates comedy. We even brought a joke. What we weren't expecting...was him dropping the F bomb while talking to us at the front desk in the first couple minutes of meeting him; nor the multiple other things he dropped such as: pulling out his bag of "props" for his "preventative care" instruction that included: a "self exam prostrate kit", i.e., a plastic finger and a mirror), next came oversized teeth and using that time to remember the importance of putting on sunscreen (my son is 18; learned this in kindergarten). Then came the plastic saxophone w/a condom on the tip of the mouthpiece (that wasn't even on correctly!)... Then... a "ball gag" he picked up and said "Oh that's not for this appt,"...then there was him referencing… his younger days and cocaine, telling me & my son that he prefers watching concerts from the comfort of his home where the "pot is less expensive", and his last comment to the effect that becoming a doctor allows him "to see women without their clothes on." Humor is one thing; but he crossed way too many lines. I almost didn't go to the appt b/c my son recently turned 18; but since it would be his 1st "adult" appt. and it was a new doctor I went. When we got back into the car the first thing my son said was "what the heck just happened?!" He was like, "Thank God you were here. No one would have believed that!" It was like the 2 of us + his 2 young female interns were Dr. Pearson's dress rehearsal audience for his comedy act that he was performing (literally) that evening across the street. To say it was a totally weird experience would be putting it mildly.

Funny doctor who puts you at ease and yet very thorough and caring. I highly recommend him and enjoyed the visit with both him and his wife!

He truly cares about your health. I rate him an A+ doctor!

I have been a patient of Dr. Pearson for years my kids and I absolutely love him. He is very attentive and listens gives suggestions or options doesn't dictate. He is definitely a rarity these days. I have and would refer him to anyone.

Dr. Pearson is a wonderful person. He really cares about his patients and sincerely helps them in more way that just Physical Health.

Dr Pearson does not return phone calls and the office staff is a nightmare to deal with. In the exam room he always has an intern in tow and spends more time educating the intern than the patient. My husband and I are looking for another GP.

Our family has been seeing Dr. Pearson for many years. We always enjoy his humor and magic tricks. If they could work on their scheduling, it would be appreciated.

Dr. Pearson is an excellent doctor. He is extremely knowledgeable and keeps current with all options for treatment.I would recommend Dr. Pearson and his excellent staff to anyone. The staff is caring, friendly, and professional.

After a physical I was called in to review my labs and discuss some medications. All very minor issues. I was taken to the exam room and left for over an hour. No one checked in on me so after a little longer I decided to leave. No one asked why or seemed to care, no follow up call. Had to wait 3 days for a prescription refill, on the fourth day I called and was told that I had to come in for an exam. I asked why someone didnt call me and let me know and she was very indignant. I will be finding a new doctor, this guy might be an ok doc, (I have not really had the chance to find out), but he is a terrible business man and his staff is indifferent.

Everytime I have had to go to be seen, I have been treated firstly with respect and then of course his magic tricks and jokes. He is very knowledgeable and genuinly cares for his patients. He remembers my name(without looking at the chart first). Humor is a wonderful form of medicine. It helps you to forget for a second that you are ill. To me his the "Patch Adams" of San Marcos! My 12 year old son is also taken in by Dr. Pearson's personality and magic tricks.
