Jeffrey Rico II II, MD

Dr. Rico was outstanding. As a former medical professional with a very complex endocrine history including central panhypopituitarism, tertiary adrenal insufficiency, and growth hormone deficiency, I have seen multiple endocrinologists over the years. Dr. Rico was one of the first physicians who truly took the time to fully review my extensive Prisma records, listen carefully, and speak with me respectfully without talking down to me. He spent nearly an hour explaining my treatment options, reviewing my current endocrine medications, and discussing future care plans. His knowledge, patience, professionalism, and compassion were exceptional. I was so appreciative of the care I received that I even called the office afterward to leave a message with the nursing staff thanking him personally. He also referred me to Dr. Mathews at MUSC for additional specialized care, which I greatly appreciated. It is rare to find a physician who combines expertise with genuine kindness and respect for… patients with complicated medical conditions. I highly recommend Dr. Rico.
