Dr. Jeffrey Stewart Rieder, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Rieder's starting when my wife and I moved from out of state. I had by-pass surgery twenty years ago. I developed high blood pressure (188 over 100) about two months ago and when I called the doctor's office to get help, it took two days to return my call from a doctor's assistant, not a registered nurse or the doctor. When I finally received a call, an appointment was set up. Rather than seeing the doctor, as I expected, I saw an assistant who gave me incorrect information about a substitute drug I was to take. I then tried to get another appointment with the doctor, but was relegated to another doctor's assistance. And the earliest I could get that appointment was 30 days from the time of my attempt to set up the second appointment. If you are having a cardiac medical trouble, based on my experience and opinion, this is not the doctor to see!!! I was accustomed to far better medical service before I moved to the Charleston area. I have switched… doctors and am now getting far better service and advice.

Listens and truly cares

Dr. Rieder is a doctor with strong presence, positive energy and a great bedside manner, clearly very bright and up to date, he is not afraid to use humor and gives a thorough explanation of what is happening with patient care. Highly recommend him.
