We went to him while my son was acutely ill and he was so helpful! He listened, discussed pertinent research, went above and beyond getting my son the meds he needs in the right form, which was difficult and was receptive to me when I felt uncomfortable with a chosen treatment. Based on his reassuring words we went a different direction and my son recovered.

I just brought my son there for a cyst on his kidneys with an extensive family history of polycystic kidney disease. He started the appointment, knowing my son has had high BP readings, by saying “I’ll leave it up to you if you want to look into this further.” He took several phone calls while in our room and hurriedly left to see other patients after repeatedly telling us that it was basically no big deal. This is after he admitted that without seeing the actual scan he isn’t even sure what my son has. So, he’s dismissing something he knows nothing about essentially. We made a three hour trip down to see the best and left with no answers and feeling disappointed and let down. I do not recommend him.

Jeff Saland is, hands down, the best pediatric nephrologist in NYC. He's caring, smart, and responsive. We're so glad he's our son's doctor.

Dr. Saland is excellent on all the measures that matter. He saved my son's kidney by proactively reaching out to see us two weeks before our appt after reviewing his records with our urologist. He is caring, great with kids, and a consumate professional. We feel lucky that he was our son's nephrologist.

Dr. Saland surpassed our expectations. He was professional, kind and very accommodating. He has a wonderful bedside manner and followed up with us and our other doctors every step of the way. We highly recommend him.
