Dr. Salin performed my knee revision surgery. He explained everything in detail and the surgery and recovery went great. I highly recommend him! He is very direct an honest and my recovery time was very short. AAAA++++

Dr. Salin was informative. Willing to answer my many questions. Suggested conservative approaches for addressing my hip pain, including supplements and PT, as well as innovative treatment approaches. I appreciated his time and expertise during the consult.

I had hip replacement surgery on June 22,2022. Then went to rehabilitation for two weeks. I then went home and was fine for four days. I then was sitting on my couch and couldn’t feel my right leg and couldn’t stand up. I had to go back to the hospital for revision surgery which was done July 13,2022. Here is eight months later and I still have pain have to walk with a cane. This is six months after physical therapy. Dr. Salin had promised me a good hip which I did not get. It is my understanding that a recalled device was put in my hip. I surely would not recommend Dr. Salin or Menorah Hospital to anyone.

Dr. Salin told me I needed a hip replacement and I was very apprehensive. I had never had major surgery and was still actively working out at the YMCA at age 70. I have nothing but praise for Dr. Salin and his staff. I was given the pre and post surgery prescriptions in advance. The procedure was done and I was released from the hospital after 2 days. I didn't have any issues and didn't even need the painkillers that were prescribed. I was able to return to my workout at the YMCA after an appropriate recovery time. I found Dr. Salin to be very helpful and informative about the presurgery and recovery protocols. I will totally recommend him and his staff to others needing hip replacement, and should I need another procedure I will definitely go back to him.

Dr Salin was very informative and patient. My cortisone shot helped my knee so much.

I consider Dr. Saline a miracle worker. He has replaced my hip and both of my daughters and did an excellent job. He is one of the most caring Dr.s I have ever known. Thank you Dr. Saline

Dr Salin is so kind and really cares about the best treatment for you. He listens to what you are going through and will try all before he will do surgery. I am thankful that I have him for my doctor.

***BEWARE*** Decent surgeon, Big Ego. What ever you do, don't have a bad day. Don't give a nurse a hard time because you were given bad news and need surgery (when you already have surgery scheduled for something else). Dr Jeffery Salin will refuse to continue to be your surgeon. I hope he never has a bad day himself!!!

He is a top notch doctor, very skilled, takes the time to answer questions and wants to be sure you understand the procedure and what's coming. He came highly recommended from another doctor out of Duke University. I am very active and participate in horse competitions. He was all about returning me back to my active lifestyle, and at the same time helping me understand the timelines post surgery to get there. Other doctors weren't real crazy about me riding again and Dr. Salin understands that living in pain just to try and "put it off" for as long as possible to minimize having to do it again too soon since I'm younger than a typical hip replacement patient. And, the fact that if I do wear it out, I might just need the cup replaced, not the hope implant. I saw 3 other hip surgeons prior to him and none of them talked about that- but then they also didn't really care to spend much time with me as a patient either. That said, I went in prepared with a list of questions for each… visit. He also came to see me the next day which I'm finding not all surgeons bother with anymore. And, then, he saw me again at my 6 week post op appointment wanting to know how I was doing. He probably could hand that off to a PA but it meant a lot to me that he did this. He also has a rockstar nurse scheduler, Becky. She returns calls quickly, does her absolute best to help you with information you need before the surgery and even after surgery. I think she is even more knowledgeable than a couple of Dr. Salin's PA's. The main reason I didn't rate him 5 stars is because I booked my surgery MONTHS in advance because I wanted to be his first surgery. Well, when I went in for my appointment a couple weeks before surgery, I was bumped up one slot. Then.... the DAY before my surgery, I get a call from the hospital telling me my surgery time had been changed and now I was bumped a second time. I did not get a call from Dr. Salin's office telling me. The lady calling me about the change didn't know why I was being bumped. I called Dr. Salin's office and nobody seemed to know why either. It was just very stressful and the lack of communication at a time before a major surgery made me very anxious. Fortunately, it all worked out and I am well on the road to recovery and very soon back in the saddle!!! The other reason for not receiving 5 stars is showing up for an appointment on time and often not getting called for 30 min or more. It is an increasing trend in healthcare today but that doesn't mean it should be accepted nonetheless. Most of us all have jobs and other responsibilities. This is something I wish would change as a whole in healthcare. Outside of that Dr. Salin is definitely top notch. If I ever had to do this over again, without question I would go back to him.
