MY 84 YEAR OLD MOM WHO HAS DEMENTIA HAD APPOINTMENT TODAY. HE ASKED MY MOTHER WHY ARE YOU HERE? AGAIN, SHE HAS DEMENTIA SO SHE STATES HER EYES ARE OK AND SHE CAN SEE. MEANWHILE IT IS DOCUMNENTED IN HER CHART SHE HAS DEMENTIA AND SHE ALSO SAW AN OPTHAMOLOGIST WITHIN THE MONTEFIORE NETWORK IN 2016 WHO DAIGNOSED HER WITH CATARACT AND RECOMMENDED SX. MY DAUGHTER WHO ACCOMPANIED MY MOM TO THE APPOINTMENT WAS TELLING HIM MY GRANDMOTHER HAS DEMENTIA BUT LET ME EXPLAIN TO YOU WHY WE ARE HERE. HE DID NOT WANT TO LISTEN AND TOLD MY DAUGHTER SHE DEFINETLY HAS CATRACT AND DID NOT OFFER ANY SURGICAL OPTIONS. HE IS RUDE, INPATIENT, AND SHOULD RETIRE IF HE CAN'T DEAL WITH THE ELDERLY. CONSIDERING HE IS ELDERLY HIMSELF YOU WOULD THINK HE WOULD BE UNDERSTANDING. I AM VERY DIAPPOINTED!!!!

Horrible bed side manner. Went with my mom who was experiencing eye issues and for a second opinion regarding surgery. He didn't even examine her only one of the nurses did and a resident who was also rushing around. Dr. Schultz focused only on the computer and failed to make eye contact with either of us. When my mom asked him any questions he brushed her off and was eager to get rid of us. My mom also ran out of eye drops and he would not prescribe any to her and told her to go see her regular ophthalmologist, who she had not seen in over a year. Based on the other reviews I am surprised this man is still allowed to practice medicine. Would never recommend anyone to see him ever.

A FEW YEARS AGO IN WAS DR SCHULTZ PATIENT FOR A WHILE. HE WAITED TOO LONG FOR SURGERY AND I SUSTAINED DAMAGE. I DISCOVERED HE DID NOT GIVE ME ALL MEDICATION HESHOULD. I ALSO DISCOVER THAT AT THE TIME I HAD MISSING IRIS AND SWOLLEN CORNEA BUT DR SCHULTZ NEVER TOLD ME. IF YOU OR YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO HAS GONE BLIND, PLEASE CHECK THE COLOR OF YOUR IRIS IN YOUR EYE. YYOUR IRIS MAY HAVE BEEN CUT. THAT LEADS TO GLAUCOMA. IN MY CASE THERE WAS ONE DOCTOR WHO TOLD ME I HAVE MISSING IRIS AFTER 7 YEARS.

I HAD 2 SURGERIES WITH DR SCHULTZ. THEY WERE DONE IN NY EYE IN PELHAM PKWY BRONX, NY. IN ONE SURGERY I WAS UNDER PRESSURE AND IT WAS 40. DR SCHULTZ PRESCRIBED TIMOLOL AND I TOLD HI WE HAVE TO DO THIS SURGERY BECAUSE I COULD GO BLIND, DRSCHULTZ MADE ME WAIT 4 WEEKS. BY THE TIME I HAD SURGERY I COULDNT SEE THE PERSON IN FRONT OF ME. A FEW YEARS LATER I SAW 2 OTHER GLAUCOMA SPECIALISTS FOR THEIR OPINIONS, THEY TOLD ME THAT HE DID NOT REMOVE THE JELLY FROM THE BACK OF THE EYE AND THAT IS WHY MY TUBES ARE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. DR SCHULTZ PUT THESE TUBES IN THERE WITHOUT REMOVING THE JELLY IN THE BACK OF THE EYE.

With this I like to help all patients. Glaucoma is eye pressure sometimes people naturally have glaucoma but most of the time it develops after surgery. All of you please check your iris, the iris is the color in your eye it's the tissue sometimes they cut it and don't tell you. We should be able to sue because of this type of behavior but the way it is doctors do anything and they don't have to answer for their mistakes. I do not know who made these rules but ladies and gentlemen we are all patients. I have a missing iris and there is no lawyer who will take my case. So please make your dr sign that he or she will not cut anything else other than what is required. If your pressure is under 25 please try for a few weeks not to use any pressure drops. Eye pressure drops like cosopt and alphagan are designed to dry the fluids in the back of your eye to reduce pressure but you could be severely allergic and have and develop dry eye. I used cosopt for a year and I got no where I stopped… and about 3 weeks later I walked in the street my eyes flooded with tears and I saw everything again. I could see that I was allergic to those eye drops. Please check the color in your eye or if you don't see well have someone check got you. If your eyes look different you have a missing iris. The better eye drops are combigan and lumigan and travatan do not use more than once a day if your eye pressure is lower than 25 then every other day. Pressure after surgery means it's the Drs. mistake.

my experience with Dr. Jeffrey S. Schultz I had two surgeries and none of them worked I discovered I did not have the proper medication he made me wait too long and in result I sustained nerve damage I would never reccomened this doctor
