Dr. Jeffrey L Stark Jr, MD

Guy found a new job and didnt notify any of his patients which left a couple of hundred people running around trying to find another doctor who would take them on. There are limited doctors in this field in Ga so they were all overloaded and refusing to take any more of his patients. THe nurse left to assist with making sure the patients got prescriptions refills etc. was very hard to get in touch with. You left a message on this answering machine where someone may or may not call you back. We found out this guy was leaving after receiving a letter in the mail that he had gotten a new job with a drug development company. Not a happy customer.

If you want a "real" Rheumatologist that is kind, caring & considerate then hesitate no longer, in fact - RUN to get an appointment with this doctor. He is very thorough and you will not regret going to him. He is the first rheumatologist I have been to and believe me I have been to a lot of them who is everything a doctor should be. More importantly, he does not have what I call the God complex.

After having a bad experience with a previous Rheumy and getting worse instead of better, I was able to get in with Dr. stark. he has truly been a life savior. He and Cheryl are kind, caring, compassionate and understanding. They take time with you and are not always rushing you in and out. I have sang the praises of both to many people and would not hesitate to refer to anyone. You will not find a better team anywhere around.

My referral to Dr. Stark has been a blessing through and through, I can't say enough about my treatment as a patient. I give Dr. Stark my highest recommendation.

Wonderful doctor. Unfortunately he appears to be the only really good rheumatoid doctor south of Atlanta. Because of this appt are hard to get. That is my only negative on Dr. Stark and his staff. However, if he takes on a partner to ease the congestion he is going to have to find a doctor of equal calibre and that may prove difficlt.

Dr. Stark appears to be an exceptional and thorough practitioner, however it is extremely difficult to get an appointment with him, ever. It took many months to get the first appointment, and thereafter, scheduling staff found it impossible to make follow up appointments for when the doctor wanted to see me! There seems to be a complete disconnect between the doctor's knowledge and best intentions, and his actual ability to apply them in the care of his patients, within the office milieu. After my first visit during which much lab work was ordered, I received copies of the lab results at home by mail, as I had requested. The doctor had included a brief, alarming summary, noting that the results indicated a probability of an incurable, fatal disease! Neither the doctor nor his nurse ever contacted me to follow up. Being unwilling to wait 2 more weeks for my previously scheduled appointment, I finally called the office and INSISTED on an appointment, as soon as possible. They had… an opening a few days later. When I went in, Dr. Stark thoroughly explained the test results, listened to my concerns, and ordered further tests; but once again, after directing me to make an appointment to return in 3 weeks, the staff could not give me a follow up appointment with the doctor before SIX weeks! This is not good.

Very pleased with my first visit with Dr. Stark. Pleased with his conservative recommendations and look forward to a good result. Very caring, easy to talk to, knowledgable. If you think you are suffering from arthritis at any level, let him help you!

takes his time, very pleasant. Listens to his patients and lets them take part in decisions that they feel are best for them. Would recommend Dr. Stark to anyone that has RA or related symptoms.
