Dr. Jeffrey James Stearns, MD

Dr Stearns took a great deal of time with me, my son and us together for an evaluation. He looked younger than I expected. It was an appointment that causes a great deal of anxiety, mostly because you have a Psychiatrist that's about to tell you what may be wrong with your child. But he was very calming, reassured us, and spent a huge amount of time explaining the ins and outs of ADD. I'm sure he probably felt like a broken record, but never did I feel rushed. He was accompanied by another Dr, doing her internship possibly, and then the head of the department came in to give her two cents. Her visit was very brief. We were there a total of 4-5 hours. That included testing and consultations. They fit us in after someone canceled, so all the paper work had to be done the day of our appointment, which may account for the longer visit. I would highly recommend Dr Stearns. I felt well educated on ADD, as well as the medication that scares me, to treat it.
