Dr. Jeffrey Lynn Stickney, MD

A man with an ego that is so sensitive when you question care methods on top of asking next steps questions he becomes hostile and makes the space feel uncomfortable. His level of care and attentiveness was below the level of urgent care. No suggestions on pain management not even asking for painkillers just want crutches or some information to help until we had the MRI results. Instead, he stormed out of the room saying “You guys can find a different provider then!” Dr. Stickney is unprofessional, unintelligent, and incompetent to say the least.

I couldn’t be happier with the care I received from Dr Stickney and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to friends and family. After only 6 weeks I am well on my way to recovery from the total knee replacement he preformed from me. A kind and caring doctor as well as highly competent.

My hip replacement surgery was 9/20/2017 and I left the hospital the same day. I was able to walk up a flight of stairs to my home recovery room. I walked a few times every day by using a walker and switched to a cane not long after. The pre-operation instructions were very clear and thorough, The recovery care was amazing with at home physical therapy, and the aftercare therapy and checkups were thorough and attentive. Dr. Stickney and all related healthcare associates were excellent.

Dr. Stickney and his staff were great. Wish I had replaced my knee a few years sooner. Check into hospital at noon, went into surgery at 2:00pm was home by 6:00pm. Little or no pain. Only took tylenol and Rx anti-inflamatories. Lots of ice!!! Up and walking right away. Could have returned to classroom after 3 weeks, but had 2 week Winter break.

A masterful knee replacement by the aptly named Jeffrey Stickney. While I may not be a typical patient (actual mileage may vary) I was home the same day I got my cool new Stryker Triathlon knee and limped upstairs the first night, started on the passive motion device the next day and was at 90 degrees the day after. Walked unassisted after a week and drove a few days after that. I only needed a couple of weeks on the serious pain medication with most of the discomfort at night because I toss and turn in my sleep. Back to golf after two months and a couple of months later was ready to carry my bag 18 holes. I am 67 and heartily recommend ProOrtho for anyone that needs a Steve Austin tune-up. My secret to success. Donâ??t wait until your mobility is compromised, recovery was fast because I was fit and active right up to the surgery. If your old knee is not going to improve on its own and a replacement is inevitable, donâ??t wait. As soon as it is bad enough for your insurance to… cover it, get it done. And the rest of the staff is wonderful, especially Melissa, Dr. Stickneyâ??s assistant. She is a pleasure to be around and makes the whole process manageable. The X-ray and MRI techs were also friendly and efficient. Whatâ??s more, everyone respects your schedule by honoring appointment times and by not leaving you whiling away the minutes in the consultation room. The whole place has a really nice vibe. It is now a year later and the only time I think about the replacement is when people ask me â??howâ??s the knee?â??.

Dr. Stickney & Swift Path joint replacement process are excellent. Great experience with both for full knee replacement. Multi-modal pain management and recovery process exceeded my expectations.

Had meniscus tear surgery at ProOrtho. Dr. Stickney and Associates. All I can say is "WOW"! Most wonderful surgery place I have ever been to. Kind and attentive people from the moment you walk in until you are up and out of recovery. Caring, patient, explaining things. great doctor, great Anesthesiologist (Dr. Rodriguez), technicians, nurses, and other support staff. Have had a few surgeries and this was by far the best experience.

Both my wife and I have had knee replacements and could not have had a better medical outcome. He's very professional and personable. He always takes his time and listens to what you say. We highly recommend him.

Excellent Doc. knows his stuff

I took my mother in for a meniscus tear and when we first met the Dr., I did not feel a sense of warmth from him. He seemed annoyed that I was there to help translate on behalf of my mother, since she couldn't really speak English. I never encountered this from other Dr.s before. AS a matter off fact, other Dr.s seem to be more concerned about my mother's welfare and they are glad that she's bringing extra help with her English. After listening to my mother's symptoms, checking up on her, and reviewing her MRI and xray result, he goes about explaining to me about the meniscus and how it works. The whole time he's explaining he's talking to me like I am an idiot and as I am translating to my mom, he just has this stoic expression on his face while watching us communicating. It was very uncomfortable. Finally, he tells me that she needs to have a right knee arthroscopic medial and lateral Meniscectomy , which means completely taking out all of meniscus on her knee. That means… she will have nothing cushioning her knees. It'll be just bone grinding on bone. When I addressed that, he just responds matter of factly says, "Well, then eventually, your mother will have to get a knee replacement." The whole time, he has no expression on his face. He then tells us that this is the kind of surgery he does all the time as if he knows what he's doing. Then he arranges for his nurse to come in for scheduling and paperwork. I left his office feeling very uncomfortable about Dr. Stickney's diagnosis and bedside manners. Followup: After a recommendation from a friend, I took my mother to see Jeremy A. Idjadi, MD at Proliance Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine. We are so glad we did! He was completely the opposite of Dr. Stickney...in bedside manner, professionalism, etc. What a light at the end of tunnel! After listening and overlooking everything, he recommended physical therapy. We didn't even tell him that we saw Dr. Stickney initially, but after Dr. Idjadi's diagnosis, when we mentioned that Dr. Stickney wanted to do a meniscectomy, he highly didn't recommend that. Dr. Idjadi really thinks the real issue is not her torn meniscus that's giving her trouble, but it's her surrounding knee muscles that are weak and needs to be stretched and strengthened. We are so glad we got a second opinion and didn't follow one imperfect man's orders.
