Dr. Jeffrey Edward Topal, MD

When my husband was gravely ill Dr Topal only added salt to the wound. His comments to me made a terrible day one of the worst in my life. I’d never refer anyone to him.

Dr. Topal is excellent. The only reason for deducted stars is that he hasn't yet figured out what's wrong. (Would've used n/a if it were an option.) He listens, spends time, answers questions, takes me seriously, and is never patronizing. Knows his stuff. Highly recommend.

Dr. To pal is not a typical doctor-he doesn't just look at your chart, sit with you for 30 seconds and throw out just some typical remedy or antibiotic. This wonderful doctor saved a member of my family 's life-and when he was in charge of her care, she was never in better hands. He's beyond smart, speaks from the hip and knows an increible amount about medicines even other infectious disease doctors don't know a thing about or in certain applications. We shoukdnall have the gift of a doctor in our lives if we are ever unfortunate enough to need someone in this specialty.

Dr. Topal is one of the smartest, most intuitive doctors I have ever met. He can read a medical situation, make important decisions and take quick action. His expertise saved my mother's life, when things were critical by using a very rarely used antibiotic to treat a life threatening infection. No one else on the infectious disease staff had even heard of it. Even other doctors on staff in other specialties had no idea what he was using or how it would work. If you are ever unfortunate enough to need an infectious disease doctor, this would be the first doctor I would call.
