Dr. Jeffrey Richard Tyler, MD

Competent and knowledgeable, able to advise on both conventional and alternative treatments. Excellent doctor.

My friend and I were getting HCG (a weight loss product) at Tyler's office but every time we got some it was always half as much as what we paid for, so we'd have to go back in to have them correct the error. Finally, the receptionist suggested that we both come in to talk to Dr. Tyler about this problem. Why we were expected to talk to him I don't know, because all we were doing was paying for a product that was always coming up short. But, we were willing to come in. When we got there the receptionist wanted to charge us each for an office visit! I asked her why we were being charged for an office visit to help them figure out what they did wrong! I could have said I would like to be paid for all of the extra trips we both made to their office, but I know that would have gone nowhere. She kept insisting that the doctor had to be paid for his time so I finally told her there were plenty of other competent doctors around that could do the same thing that Tyler was doing and we would… not be seeing him again. We then walked out. I would urge anyone considering this doctor to seriously try to find a different doctor before submitting to his care.

Very first visit front staff was outlandishly rude and Dr. Jeffery Tyler was very argumentative on a simple blood test and was against any preventative care...Go figure! I have been waiting 3 weeks for a referral for blood work, I even mailed off for my other blood results because their front staff was incompetent to even get records. I brought the results to their office...after fasting to do so by front staff and was told it was gonna be longer in the day (I HAVEN'T EATEN ANYTHING AND ITS NOW 3:30pm). No contact from them yet so i called only to get told, "Im not the Doctor!" and hung up on! How can these people be in business, how can they treat patients with such disregard? I feel sorry for the elderly that have no one to step up and recognize that this Dr Tyler and staff are detrimental to patients health and well being!

I referred my daughter to him and her comment was the office staff was unprofessional. Man was wearing sweat pants and another staff member didn't have shoes on. If you can get past the staff Dr. Tyler listens to your problems and is helpful

Dr. Tyler just charged me $50 for a 5 minute phone consultation after telling me he couldn't help me! (I was calling from out of state). As others have mentioned, his rotten personality is something to be desired. Worst of all, however, is his lack of basic knowledge of human anatomy. Perhaps he should go back to college - or junior high - and brush up on his biology skills!!

This is a doctor who actually makes it a point to keep waiting time to a minimum! He can be brisk in bedside manner but listens carefully and is so right on with treatment. I really appreciate having a doctor who takes his patients seriously and follows through in every detail.

As many have already posted Dr. Tyler was horribly unpleasant. He did not introduce himself or offer any of the normal pleasantries offered when you meet a Dr. for the first time. He asked what is wrong.. I told him and he said "that's all"..Well "that" has kept me up all night and I am in a lot of pain..Long story short I had a horrible case of Strep. I asked for a Dr. note for my work and he refused to give me one saying that while I might not feel better in two to three days I won't be contagious....I won't be returning to Encompass Urgent Care to see Dr. Tyler ever again!!! Horrible bedside manner, disrespectful, does not care about patients.

This man was the most unpleasant, boorish, deceitful, disrespectful, misleading and unethical being that I have ever had the displeasure of being examined by. I shall hope that I never have to cross paths with this imitation of a Doctor and/or Human Being ever again. I left his office in utter disgust.

Not knowledgable of basic systems or new ideas in medicine. Horribly not friendly. Don't find professional - no introduction of himself or handshake.Would not recommend.
