Horrible!! This guys a freak!!

I appreciate Dr. Vrielink's appraoch to psychatriatry. I have met other psychatrists and nurse practioners who were not willing to listen. Dr V listens to my concerns and while we talk about meds he offers some counseling. His counseling during my med reviews has helped me grow in my profession as a teacher. I have found his integration with Christianity and psychatriaty to be beneficial. Before when I saw other physicans, even if the meds seemed to be right, the lack of counseling left me hopeless. Dr. V acts like a mentor in which he listens to my concerns, he's empathetic and he helps me problem solve. I also appreicate doctors who share a bit about themselves like their hobbies, it makes them see more human. The fact he shares some information about himself, he's empathetic, caring, truly listens and helps me problem solve makes him the right doctor for me. By talking about faith it gives me hope. I feel safe talking with him and my mental health has greatly improved. I think he is… well educated and he stays up to date on new research and treatments. He helps heal the mind, body and soul. This is why I highly recommend his practice. I think its the best in West Michigan!

Dr. Vrielink is an excellent doctor. He is compassionate and truly cares about the well being of his patients, which is evident in the time that he takes to get know you and to listen to you during your office visit. Having a doctor who utilizes your feedback instead of pushing multiple prescriptions in your hand while pushing you out the door has been a wonderfully new experience. Yes, Dr. Vrielink has a strong faith in God, but he does not push it onto you. As someone who shares faith in God, it is great to have a doctor that has encouraged that faith for healing. I have never been to a doctor who is more professional, more caring, and more respectful of me as a person than Dr. Vrielink.

Dr V don’t take my new insurance so I can’t see him anymore and this just upsets me because he was in the process of helping me and he even does virtual which is good for me because I have a hard time leaving the house. So now I am lost

I can’t say I LOVE Dr V. But he always assist my needs rather it be to do my appointments on the computer or letting me text him for med questions. I truly believe he has my best interest. One thing I do love is he addresses what needs to be addressed.

This man denied me care under the pretense of my not sharing his religion.

Jeffrey J. Vrielink is a self-centered, condescending, narcissistic, ego-maniac who has no business practicing medicine. While at Pine Rest, he prescribed way over FDA recommended safe dosages of psychotropic drugs “experimenting” on his patients. Pine Rest’s own Pharmacists would argue with him about these decisions. I have permanent visual damage due to his not being responsive when I reported this problem to him and it could have been prevented. At least in his own practice he can only damage one poor soul at a time now, and not potentially hundreds.

When looking for a new psych. for my then 15 year old, I interviewed Dr. V. and was straight forward what I needed in care. My son was born with a brain injury and was very complex and needed a doctor to be accepting of me as my sons mouthpiece and yet involve him in decision making. I found Dr. V. to be respectful and caring. I appreciate the non drug pushing approach. No need to take them if they dont help. I was VERY excited to see the doctor not only pray for my son but with him. I appreciate someone who has a love for the Lord and believes in spiritual warfare. He is exactly what I was looking for and have recommended him to several people young and old.

Dr. Vrielink is a fantastic Christian psychiatrist to our child. All of our visits have been professional and medication prescribed has been 100% accurate. He responds quickly to needs and is caring, compassionate and patient. Office receptionist is helpful and professional as well as the billing lady whom I called once to make a payment. Office is warm and welcoming and scheduling appointments has been very easy. We are grateful for Dr. Vrielink's office as we had made dozens of calls and were unable to get into almost all other psychiatrist offices due to insurance, age of patient or not accepting new patients.

As a professional I needed to find a psychiatrist to assist in treating my PTSD as it was significantly impacting my everyday life. Being in the mental health field myself I sought a doctor that would recognize I was knowledgeable about the topic of mental health and value my opinion. This was exactly what I received from the moment I met Dr. V till our last session today where I thanked him for everything and I am now transferred back to my PCP. Dr. V treats the whole person; mind, body and soul. I appreciated his sharing if his Christianity and his encouragment that God was working in my life. I can not thank Dr. V for helping me get my life back.
