Horrible Professionalism doesn't care about his patients, only cares about money

I received great work from Dr. Wachtel, and have no complaints-only praise. Easy procedure and he made me feel very at ease throughout the whole process. The office is great, never seen an oozy faucet(?) as described below. Can’t say enough good about Dr. W and his professionalism.

I’ve been visiting a dentist office two times a year for 45 years and I have never experienced a dental hygienist like I did today. No one should be subjected to this kind of treatment or personal conduct. I’m going to find a new dentist. I guarantee she’s done this to other people too.

I disagree with above comments. As the daughter of a dentist, as well as a chairside assistant for my father's practice, I know how to judge a competent dentist. Dr Wachtel has always been professional and absolutely correct in his recommendations for dental services. As a "mature" patient, I realize that the old amalgam fillings do often begin to fracture and disintegrate....requiring a crown. It is far easier to pre-empt the need for a root canal should the tooth develop a fissure and crack by placing a crown over the unbroken tooth. I have had several crowns through the years, and Dr Wachtel has done an excellent job at reasonable cost. I highly recommend his practice, and the staff is also excellent.

Cleanliness: noticed a grungy water faucet in exam room, (slime dripping from spout). first visit Caring manner: did not clean debris after installing crown to ensure trouble free flossing. After visit I flossed and bits and pieces came out. Also broke floss numerous times. Also may have loosened the crown. Will have to have checked by a different dentist. NOT THIS ONE. Pain management: upon returning for installation of crown, temporary crown was removed, and debris was ground off tooth, with much pain. What the )(&)(*&)^ is up with that. Never again will visit this one, nor recommend him.

If you're in the market for a crown Dr. Wachtel is the man to see. He can't and won't do anything else. Easily the most unprofessional dentist I've ever been too.
