Colonoscopy 100% Covered by Insurance. Not so WPB Office says it covered but do not tell you the Visit before you get the procedure which is mandatory is not covered by most Insurances as its considered a straight office visit and it carries a hefty charge. Just letting everyone know ahead of time.

Jeffrey Wegner is the walking definition of race inequity in health care. My father, who is also a physician and surgeon, was treated with total disregard, apathy and lack of respect during several visits that the last straw was a scheduled procedure. Jeffrey screamed at my father for asking a routine question that any board certified physician and office staff would know. Jeffrey also refused to make eye contact or ask appropriate questions. He did not even touch my father during an exam (what doctor conducts a physical exam without touching??). The attitude changed when my father identified himself as a doctor but it should not take identifying a profession to be treated better. If you are a minority, run for the hills as Jeffrey makes no effort to conceal his racial bias. He assumes there is zero intelligence in his minority patients and giving him one star rating is generous.

I've been a patient of Dr. Wenger's since he first opened his office doors over thirty years ago and I would never go to another GI physician, even when I was living in Key West right after retirement for several years! Jeffrey Wenger is one of the most compassionate physicians I've ever known and I'm 83 years old. He is caring, open, always shares with me what is going on. Puts me at ease before he does any procedure and I never feel any anxiety knowing he is there doing what has to be done. A few weeks ago, I was rushed to Good Sam Hospital with a small bowel obstruction, in so much pain I don't even remember being taken from the ER to the unit, and Dr. Wenger was right there when I opened my eyes the next morning and he was there the first thing every morning except two and his assistant Kristin attended me those mornings. It was important to both of them that I understood exactly what was happening after the SBO resolved and an ileus developed. I was miserable for almost two weeks,… but Dr. Wenger and Kristin never mistreated me or spoke unkindly to me even when I was at my worst because of what was happening to me constantly. Over all these three decades he has never changed. He's just always Dr. Jeffrey Wenger, laid back , casually dressed, friendly but serious, knowledgeable and imparts that knowledge to his patients because he believes an informed patient is one who will do what has to be done to get well. Procedures performed for your health aren't enjoyable but Dr. Wenger & the staff are always upbeat & very comforting.

His staff is also outstanding - including Kelly who runs the front office and Lida, his nurse who schedules all of his procedures.
