Questionable Business Practice's.

Was a patient of Wishik's for 4 years. As you've read in the other reviews, you know how the practice is. I only dealt with the horrible care because I was in the middle of completing a double major at URI, and I quite literally didn't have the time to care. I just needed to be seen, and get my prescriptions so I could maintain my mental health. His wife the "office manager" is the literal antichrist. I have never met such a rude individual. Wishik does NOT take responsibility for her or his PA Jane Bassman. I rarely saw Wishik for my appointments, maybe once a year? I always saw his PA. Bassman prescribed me a dosage that was 3x what I normally take, and had I not noticed the difference in the pills I would probably be dead. When I brought up the issue of his wife and the prescription malpractice he ignored it and said "well my PA is retiring anyway, so there's not point in taking action against her", typical Attorney talk. I left the practice a few months ago after arriving 2 mins… late to an appointment after taking a final exam. The receptionist, the antichrist, berated and humiliated me in front of other patients, told me if I didn't leave she would call the police (I was very upset, crying, I have severe anxiety and a panic disorder, not to mention that he makes a living off of dealing with mental health issues and unorganized individuals??????), she proceeded to tell me to call back to reschedule. Dr. Wishik did nothing but hide behind her. He said and did NOTHING. Shame. That same day I pulled my medical record and left the practice. After reading through my medical record, I realize that he intentionally left out the details of the prescription malpractice, AND both he and the PA didn't record the side effects that I experienced and had expressed concern about COUNTLESS TIMES. So, not only do I no longer have a neurologist, I now have an INACCURATE MEDICAL HISTORY. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this practice at all costs. Avoid it like the plague.

Simply put, Dr. Wishik and staff are amazing. As a psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of ADHD, Dr. Wishik is incredibly knowledgeable about the topic along with medication options. He asks questions pertaining to not just your life, but what you hope to get out of treatment with him. He's compassionate and empathetic in a way that is rare among medical practitioners. The front staff is quick and responsive in communication and always will do their best to work with your schedule. I personally travel well over an hour to see Dr. Wishik, and will continue to do so. If you think you may have ADHD, or your child may have ADHD, Dr. Wishik is an amazing practitioner and resource who is in your corner the whole time. I wish him and his staff the best going forward.

Dr. Wishik is a great doctor!! He is patient, kind, and very knowledgeable. However, his office manager is very rude, abrasive, and yells at patients. She is also his wife. It has caused me to seek treatment elsewhere after many years.

Was a long time patient (over 10 years) and then suddenly when I missed a couple of appointments, was given an exceptionally rude "talking to" by Jane, the office manager. Spoke to Dr. Wishik about it, and he did nothing, and hence I am not a patient anymore. Also he has some rather ridiculous rules (miss 3 appointments your no longer a patient - this is someone who treats people who have organizational issues... talk about obtuse) He has outstanding knowledge, but until those things change, go elsewhere. Go read the reviews on the other sites, you will see multiple other people have had similar issues.

The receptionist who so happens to be his wife is rude and unpleasant. She is just awful. After being a patient for over 2 yrs I decided to leave after being refused service over a minor billing dispute. While trying to clear things up with my insurance company, I was asked to leave because I was cutting into her lunch break. Dr. Wishik is fine, their PA is actually nice but the receptionist is terrible.

I have never been treated so poorly and unprofessionally by a Dr's office in my life.

Horrible front desk. Will be finding a new doctor.

The receptionist (her name is Wishik so must be the Dr's family) was really mean first to my son when he showed up for an appointment and then to me when I called to clarify the situation with her the next day. My son was 5 minutes late and didn't have his copay on him, but was willing to give the credit card number. I was told that he broke two rules: he was late and didn't have his copay and that's why the doctor didn't see him. And one more thing: we should be happy she didn't charge us $75 for missed (???) appointment. Even before the incident, she would treat us like we owed her something.
