Dr. Jeffrey Alan Wolfson, MD

I felt my heart slip into A-fib in early July. Even though I am a patient of his, I couldn't get an appointment until OCTOBER! I explained to the person making appointments, and she just didn't care. I even called back and explained again. They didn't care. Today I am headed into ER because I am light headed and very short of breath.

Dr Wolfson accurately diagnosed and successfully treated me. Dr. Wolfson used an event monitor to assist in diagnosing my SVT. He appropriately adjusted my medication when I experienced undesired side effects, and eventually switched to another medication. I was eventually released to the care of my PCP. When I began experiencing chest pain a couple years later, I was able to promptly schedule an appointment to be seen by him. He is very analytical. He had me repeat my symptoms several times to confirm he was understanding me correctly. He determined I was not experiencing symptoms of a heart attack, and scheduled a stress test to confirm. I was again released to the care of my PCP.

Dr Wolfson placed a pace maker in my chest this past week. My comment is that he showed that he cared about me as an individual and he was very professional. The procedure went very well, as expected. Dr Wolfson & staff kept me informed every step of the way. I would recommend him to others.

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Wolfson at all. When I first came to him he showed very little concern for my symptoms, acted as if I was faking them. On my fourth hospitalization for my heart problems he came to see me in the hospital and immediatly realized something was wrong and was able to diagnose me that day. He seemed much more kind to me after that however his treatment I was uncomfortable with. The medications he was putting me on we making me sick and he kept pushing them and raising the doses, the dose of one particular med concerned me, other cardiologists have been shocked at how high the dose was and told me he could've damaged my adrenal glands. He also seemed to have a repuation, when I went to the ER several times when I told the doctor who my cardiologist was I heard multiple times "he's mean isn't he". I would not recommend him.

Dr. Wolfson is not only a top notch Dr. But a top notch person. He has a genuine concern about his patients and will go out of his way to show how much he cares and to help the people he meets. I would highly recomend him to everyone.

I found Dr. Wolfson to be one of the best cardiologists I know. I have been a patient for over ten years and feel that Dr. Wolfson is top notch. I have worked as a cardiac cath tech in the Detroit area and have worked with many fine cardiologists, Dr. Wolfson being one of them.
