I have been a patient of Dr. Wu and Alyssa Anastasi for 7 years. Due to a mastectomy, I have had reconstruction surgeries. From our initial consultation to the final follow-up, I have been consistently impressed by Dr. Wu and Alyssa’s professionalism, compassion, and commitment to excellence. Dr. Wu always took the time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly explain the procedure. His empathetic approach made me feel comfortable from the beginning and confident throughout the entire process. Dr. Wu patiently addressed all my questions and set realistic expectations. He never promised miracles but provided honest assessments, which I truly appreciated. Dr. Wu and Alyssa are perfectionists. His meticulous attention to detail is evident in every aspect of his work. It's nearly impossible to say how much better Dr. Wu is than your average plastic surgeon, but I will say that he surpassed my expectations by a wide margin. The man is a magician, and he is very easy to deal with. He brings a lightness to his bedside manner, and if he likes you, a wicked sense of humor. I highly recommend Dr. Wu!

Dr. Wu has changed my life, and I'm so beyond grateful for him, and his wonderful team. At the age of 30, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Throughout my journey Dr. Wu has been so incredible, and has been there every step of the way. He takes his time explaining the procedures, will show you pictures, goes into details so you know what to expect, how each procedure is done, the healing processes, and the after care. He makes you feel so important, and special. He is more than willing to answer each and every single question you have. He is considerate of his patients, and their situations, and will take the time to listen to anything you have to say. He truly cares about each and every one of his patients. He is the type of doctor who will do everything he possibly can to make sure you're well taken care of, and he goes above and beyond for his patients. He will do everything he can, to make sure that you're going to love the outcome. Going through breast cancer treatment is not… easy, it takes a toll on your health, mentally, physically, etc. Having Dr. Wu as my doctor/surgeon has made this entire process so much better for me, and my family. Dr. Wu, has had a positive impact on my quality of life, and I will forever be grateful for him. I never thought I would feel normal again after my cancer battle, however Dr. Wu has helped me get to where I want to be, and I'm so happy with his beautiful work. After all of the changes my body has had to go through, I can say that I love my body because of Dr. Wu. I highly recommend him to anyone who is need of any of his services. He is definitely my favorite doctor I've ever had! I'm so beyond grateful, and blessed to have him as my doctor, and I can't thank him enough! At 29 years old, I had breast reconstruction due to breast cancer. I underwent several surgeries which included a bilateral nipple sparing mastectomy with implant based reconstruction and fat grafting. The reconstruction I chose required an incredible amount of specialized surgical skill.    Dr. Wu has a very obvious amount of advanced knowledge when it comes to techniques and technology. He is very detail oriented, offers personalized care, has exceptional interpersonal skills and bedside manner.    Over a span of two years, he addressed all my concerns with compassion and understanding. He never had a generic answer and every response was well thought out and backed with informative information. Dr. Wu and Alyssa (his Nurse Practitioner) discussed all my options as well as the pros and cons of each which allowed me to feel confident with his expertise.  During my entire experience, through consultations, pre-op, surgery and post-op he was always engaged, reassuring and calm which… really allowed me to not feel stressed or anxious but confident and at ease.    All of my surgeries were successful with very little pain (if any). After every one of my procedures, he was there to check in on me when I woke up from anesthesia and followed up via phone calls the following days.    I strongly recommend Dr. Wu. My experience and quality of care with Dr. Wu and Alyssa was better than I could have ever imagined and my results surpassed all my expectations.

Dr. Wu generously scheduled a surgery when it was supposed to be his vacation time, he has fit me in for an office visit when there was a mix up with appointment days, he personally called to check in on me after each surgery, he brought me breakfast in bed from outside the hospital when I was in the ICU. Dr. Wu is not only thoughtful and caring, he is also competent! After losing a part of who I physically was due to cancer, Dr. Wu was diligent in reconstructing my body, giving me results that were better than the original. I feel like he didn’t want to just fix me, but he wanted to help restore what was lost physically AND emotionally. For that, I will be forever grateful!

Dr Wu was a part of my treatment team at UNM Cancer Center .. all of my Drs were great but Dr Wu stands out due to him really listening to me , being incredibly thoughtful and kind and having a great sense of humor . I felt like he cared and I was just not another patient passing through the OR.
