Dr. Jeffrey Y Yung, MD

Dr. Yung was distracted during my appointment and didn’t seem focused on my ingrown toenail procedure. As a result, he performed it carelessly, and I ended up with chemical burns on both my big toe and second toe—something that never happened in past procedures with other doctors. It looks like phenol was applied or removed improperly, and the area wasn’t cleaned before bandaging, which caused unnecessary pain and complications. Worst of all, Dr. Yung has ignored all my follow-up messages. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

This Doctor was extremely rude and dismissive as I was telling him how my feet was feeling. He didn’t do any testing, touching, and x-ray on my feet. He proceeded to tell me that I needed new shoes and soles inside of them. I then voiced my concerns that I don’t think it’s a shoe issue, but instead a genetic issue. I explained to him my mom had lupus and while her doctor was testing her for the same issue they misdiagnosed her, and ultimately the reason her soles on her feet was inflamed was because of her lupus. He was very mean, dismissive, and aggressive. Instead of him listening to the patient because the patient knows their body best. He decided to dismiss my concerns because of his expertise in podiatry. My feet are extreme pain and I am only 32 and I’m active. I pray that me writing this review, he has a better attitude in being receptive to listening to the complaints of his patients. Also never judge someone by how you see them, it’s plenty of sick people walking around that… doesn’t look sick. Being a doctor or in the medical field in general is not simply about what you know, but it’s also about the transparency of being able to relate to the people your caring for. We need people taking care of the sick who are compassionate and caring, not dismissive and judge mental.

I have swelling in my ankle and I went to be seen by this doctor; he did not listen to me while I was explain what I have because he was focusing on giving me a special shoes from the store he knew.

Very approachable and affable doctor who takes the time to explain details and treatment options thoroughly. He is however very blunt and direct but only for the purpose to communicate and establish realistic expectations

dr. Yung is very easy to talk with, help you understand what is wrong and takes time with you. The staff are also very professional and kind.

Brutally Honest and blunt but compassionate in the interests of his patients first

Knows his stuff, candid and even sometimes blunt, has the best interest of patients all the time. Great surgeon!
