Jenna Knoll, NP

Jenna chose a career in critical care because she finds great purpose in her work, caring for patients and their families in their most vulnerable states. Working in critical care has opened her eyes to the holistic interplay between organ systems that commonly affect critically ill patients. Jenna credits her mother and grandmother as being the biggest influences in her life. Her mom had an advanced nursing degree and Jenna saw all that the nursing world had to offer and knew she could use her skills to create a fruitful lifelong career. As a nurse practitioner, Jenna was able to assist with her grandmother’s care when she was diagnosed with cancer. Working with her grandmother showed Jenna what it meant to be a nurse, and she found great meaning in providing care for her. Being a critical care nurse practitioner at Bronson gives Jenna great pride and satisfaction knowing that the healthcare system provides her patients superb care. She loves the team aspect of …healthcare and the comradery that is found within critical care. Having relationships with many people in different realms of the healthcare system allows her to learn from and strategize with other healthcare providers to best care for her patients.Outside of work, Jenna loves spending time with her husband, daughter and their extended families. She loves to vacation, spend time on the lake and tackle home project that comes her way. When I meet a new patient and their family, I try to put myself in their shoes, recognizing that this may be the scariest moment of their life. I strive to deliver all my care and conversations with patients and family in the most compassionate and respectful way.
