Dr. Jenna Cheng, DO

Dr. Jenna Cheng brings a neuroscience-rooted and attachment-informed perspective to child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. She earned a B.S. in cognitive science and neuroscience at UC San Diego, received her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed an adult psychiatry residency there, and pursued a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Harbor–UCLA Medical Center. Throughout training she was drawn to how adults describe their childhoods and families, which shaped her psychodynamic sensibility grounded in attachment theory and humanistic psychology—skills she deliberately blends with CBT and DBT techniques for practical, measurable progress.
