Dr. Jennie Smith Wheeler, MD

DR WHEELER IS ONE OF THE WORST DOCTORS I HAVE EVER CAME INTO contact with as she lacks side manners, compassion, and is very judgemental. She demonstrate signs of not being concerned with things that are important to a patient. If you are in need of EXCELLENCE and Compassion, look further as this atmosphere is not GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH!!! NOT EVEN EMPATHY IS OFFERED here!!

I have never had a worse experience in my life. I have always had my mother accompany on my off days to dr appts to spend time with her and I appreciate her opinion. She verbally attacked my mother in the room about how she should not be at an adult dr appt with her child. She discussed how she is not a pediatrician and expects her patients to take care of themselves, and I must not be able to do that since my mother showed up to this appointment. All of this was stated before she even met us or found out what the appointment was for. The second she came in the room, she immediately acted extremely unprofessional. Being a dr myself, I would never be as disrespectful as this woman was. Her bio says she cares for patient relationships, however verbally attacking the patient and whoever they bring to their appointment (which is their right and their choice) is completely unacceptable.

My 25 year old daughter requested that I go to the doctor with her. From the moment the doctor walked in the room, she was condescending to me. She told me that she was not a pediatrician and she expected her patients to be able to take care of themselves. I wanted to crawl under a rock and cry. There was no excuse for her demeanor. I work in a hospital around surgeons who can be difficult. This doc rises above that to a whole new level. My daughter said she will never go back to her.

If you want someone who is in it for the money and wants to get you in/out, you are in the right spot. She does not care about you as a patient. It is most certainly about her. You will be judged on your 1st visit and left with the worst taste in your mouth about physicians. I have encountered many doctors and I promise you she is the worst one I have ever met!

If you want to spend 3 minutes in the Doctor's office,not getting probably diagnosed,and prescribed a bunch of unnecessary medications,then this doctor is for you. If you expect a polite doctor with a pleasant demeanor and a proper follow up procedure,then look some where else.I saw Doctor Wheeler for years with health issues that went misdiagnosed.When i brought these issues to her attention,she completely ignored the situation. There were medications that I needed to take for pain and ither conditions and she would never have them filled. My personal opinion is.....She's a joke as a doctor and seeing her is a complete waste of time and money.

Woest doctor i ever had please dont go to her. She care nothing abour your needs she care nothing. About you as a patient

I love Dr. Wheeler so much!! She is the best Doctor I've ever had.

Dr. Wheeler has the best bedside manner and she is very professional and attentive. I would highly recommend her.

This woman can care less about her patients, she's never at work, she reschedules your appointment at the last minute. She wants you to keep coming in to her for problems that she doesn't help with. She just wants to keep collecting your money but want refer you out for help that she's unable to provide. She's a rip off and her bedside manners suck...

I think she's one of the best doctors at UAB,I love this lady,she's was even there for me when my mom,was going through cancer,and for her to be diagnose with cancer herself,she understands,even the staff is great,
