Jennifer Affuso

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated from Indiana University with a Post Baccalaureate degree in substance abuse counseling and a Masters degree in social work. I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field such as: addictions, grief and loss, couples/ family counseling, anxiety, depression and trauma related stressors. I am committed to working with a diverse population and have experience in various settings. I have a passion for working with individuals and their families as they encounter life changes and various transitions. I am committed to working with people in both brief and long term therapy to overcome life stressors that can affect all of us at certain times in our lives.

As a therapist I provide psychotherapy by utilizing an integrative and holistic approach as I assist my clients in the healing process. I draw from a variety of methodology as I help people clarify their issues and reach their treatment goals.

I specialize in approaches …such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, along with teaching dialectical behavioral skills, and mindfulness approaches to help people clarify their issues and reach their treatment goals.
