Dr. Jennifer Ellen Agosta, MD

I read an article in the paper about Dr. Agosta and thought she would be the best physician for me. She was presented as integrating alternative and traditional medicine, but within less than ten minutes she told me there was "nothing she could do for me." She said she practices "mind-body" medicine, isn't into supplements (I take a number of herbal and vitamin supplements, which help me a lot), doesn't "believe in" the one medication I am on and really can't help me because my medical issue is out of her expertise. I respect that someone would acknowledge that my condition does not fall within her particular expertise, but she presented herself as if she is more mental health therapist than physician. She ways what she does is more "hypno therapy" .... It was a discouraging, disappointing and upsetting visit and not at all what I anticipated. On a personal note I found her to come across as insincere, cold, and frankly, rather obnoxious. I will say, she did not charge… me for the visit, seeing as how she couldn't help me. I certainly appreciated that, at least. Perhaps for someone with pain issues or some other problem where what they need is what she offers, she would be a five star physician. I suspect with the right match of patient, she could be a God-send. But for what it is worth, this was my experience with her and it was NOT a good one. I want to add that I found the office staff absolutely wonderful

this lady is mean and not very knowlegable as far as being a dr' i went to her and she put her hands on my belly and said there was nothing she could do nothing for me, she also lied to me, and has my friend strung out on oxycottin!!!! horrible dr...stay away!!!
