PA was unprofessional, condescending, would not listen and not knowledgeable. she insisted that my skin disease, ichthyosis inherited at birth diagnosed by top doctors (not a PA) at NYC hospital is an autoimmune disease and that I was born with rosacea, a problem I developed in the last 7 years. My visit was for the rash on my face. The redness at birth and through the years is due to a barrier disfunction and extreme dry skin. When I tried to explain that Ichthyosis is not an autoimmune disease, she stated rudely that I do not need to educate her. I had a list of questions, but she rushed out saying "goodbye!" Not even asking me if l had questions. She refused to look at the products I was using when I told her l was having issues with sunscreens, except for the one I had. She cut me off everytime l had a question. Let me educate you here. Inherited Icthyosis is not an autoimmune, unless acquired. I called the office about her manner and because I had questions, she never called.
