Dr. Baars grew up in Palos Verdes, California. She received her bachelor's degree in History from the University of California, Davis and went on to earn her medical degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She began her combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Tulane during the year that Hurricane Katrina devastated the city.
Dr. Baars continued to care for patients in New Orleans for another year and then transferred to Banner Good Samaritan Hospital and Phoenix Children's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. She successfully completed her residency in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
Dr. Baars enjoys treating patients of all ages with particular interests in pediatrics, adolescent medicine, women's health and geriatrics. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and watching college football. Dr. Baars is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

Dr. Baars has been my family's physician for almost 15 years. She treats my husband and me, as well as our kids since she is board certified in pediatrics and internal medicine. I feel that she truly cares about her patients and always goes the extra mile to make sure you understand everything and are comfortable with the treatment plan. I would recommend her to anyone seeking an extremely intelligent, qualified, and compassionate doctor. She also has a great personality, which makes visits fun.

I've been with Dr Baars for 10 years and have never had a negative experience with any of the staff or her. She has great "bedside" manner and I never feel rushed. She listens to my concerns and discusses. Good recommendations for specialists when needed so she's dialed in to the network of doctors offered. Lobby wait times are short which is very important with my busy schedule.

Dr.Baars has been my primary doctor and internist for the past 6 years. She as been consistently knowledgable, available, supportive, friendly and professional. I consider myself fortunate to have found her and recommend her without reservation.

I love Dr. Baars - and so does my 4 year old. She is pleasant, helpful, understands the challenges of working parents - she's very collaborative and knowledgeable. Some people have had challenges with the office staff - I have not.
