Dr. Jennifer Marie Bettenhausen, MD

I've been going to Dr. Bettenhausen as my PCP since 2004. In 2004 I had a bad experience with a Nurse Practitioner where I didn't feel heard and I asked the Front Desk Agent on the way out who they recommended for a second opinion and they said Bettenhausen. I've been a loyal patient of hers ever since and each year she's continued to help me improve my health with her knowledge of nutrition (she loves nutrition books!) as well as Medicine. This year, she found some "dense tissue" in my breast exam despite being only 38 and with zero family history; she encouraged me to go and get an ultra sound to see if it was a cyst. Turns out it was Stage II Breast Cancer and I completely owe the early detection credit to her! Otherwise, I would not have gone in for a Mammogram until I was 40 and my situation right now could be incredibly worse. Even Dr. Franciose told me that I needed to thank her for saving my life. Dr. Bettenhausen has always been great at listening, truly spending time… with me answering my health questions, and rationalizing health decisions with me for 14 years now. I find her to be thorough, forthright with information, caring and compassionate. She is truly a 5-Star MD in my book! I owe this woman my life. :-)
