Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:In kindergarten, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up for a school project, I submitted a picture of a nurse. I always felt a connection to the medical field in my soul. I have loved being a nurse at the bedside using my God-given skills and talents to serve the York and Hanover areas. I am excited to now have the opportunity to advance my career and help my patients in a more complex role as an advanced practice provider.What I want my patients to know about me:I'd like my patients to know that I view myself as a partner in their good health. I believe in using healthful lifestyle choices and exercise, in addition to medical advances, to treat illness and injury. Achieving and maintaining good health is the key to a life well lived. I enjoy educating my patients and helping them find resources that will give them the tools to be healthy. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:Travel, reading historical fiction/non-fiction, hanging …at home with my husband and dogs, spending time with family and friends.
