Dr. Jennifer Rebecca Clapper, MD

Dr. Clapper should not hold a medical license. She denies CDC recommended flu vaccinations, citing dangerous and unproven propaganda about vaccine neurotoxicity. She is an avowed anti-vaxxer who actively shares and spreads anti-scientific conspiracy theories on social media, as well as inflammatory racist posts.

I like Dr Clapper as a physician and she has been my primary care physician for at least 20 years but over time she has cut her hours so you can't get in to see her for months and her last appointment is 2:30.. not convenient. Her office staff are so rude and abrupt when talking to you and I have had to wait as long as 10-15 minutes on the phone just to make or cancel an appointment. I've had to search for a new physician because of this.

There have been several different occasion on where I have been screwed over by UH and Dr. Clapper. 1.) I went in for a visit because I was experiencing problems with my thyroid. I explained to her the symptoms were related to my Thyroid. Symptoms such as hair falling out, trouble sleeping, fatigue, etc. I received blood work and when I finally got my bill for he bloodwork, my insurance (which is very good) did not cover one dime. I asked why this was, and the insurance company told me the doctor coded my bill wrong. I made numerous calls to UH and no one would help me and Dr. clapper never re coded my bill. So I had to pay $800 dollars for something that should have never happened. 2.) I asked Dr. Clapper if I could receive a flu shot while I was there for an appointment. She told me how bad the flu shot was for me and recommended I didn’t get it. She printed out a packet on the flu shot being bad for you and gave it to me. I’ve been getting the flu shot my whole life. That day I did… not get it. 3.) I have been suffering from depression for a few months and Dr. Clapper put me on Lexapro which did not work well at all. I went back to her office to change the medication and I was put on Effexor. I was told to take this pill once a day for a week then start taking 2 a day until I ran out. I did as directed and tried to call to refill the pill when I ran out. I had no more refills and called the doctor to ask why. They said there was a second bottle of a higher dose I was supposed to take after finishing my first bottle. I let them know I never received my second bottle or a prescription for the second bottle of medication. I let them know of this and they said they would send over a prescription. So I stopped taking the medicine Sunday and it is now Thursday where they have finally sent in the prescription. Mind you, this medicine makes you go through serious withdrawals if you stop taking it without weening yourself off it the medication. Withdrawals include, feeling electric shocks in your body, brain shivers, confusion, sweating, crying spurts, and even thoughts of suicide. I was feeling all of these symptoms and told the doctor who continued to do nothing. Finally I received the bottle I was supposed to be taking after 4 days of not taking the medicine. When I told the pharmacist about what was happening she told me she didn’t want to give me the medicine because it was make my symptoms worse. So i am currently still going through withdrawals. Needless to say, I will never be going back to UH even if my leg was amputated.

Dr. Clapper has always shown the upmost concern when it comes to listening and addressing issues .I believe she has a sincere compassion for the needs of her patients .

Dr. Klapper is ok but her staff is rude and horribly organized. They have lost my prescription orders almost every time and are rude on the phone when scheduling appointments.
