Let me preface this 5 star review by admitting that I’ve spent a lifetime dreading going to the dentist. Each encounter provoked acute anxiety, pain, and trepidation. So I was never awarded the cooperative “patient of the month” (year, decade). I first met Dr. Dillon last fall - after performing exhaustive research in order to find the very best Dentist - to repair a broken crown. From the moment I walked through the front door of Decatur Smiles! Cottage, I was greeted with such warmth and enthusiasm by the front desk receptionist, Dental Assistants and hygienists, and Dr. Dillon, that I actually forgot I was at a dental office. And what a gorgeous dental office it is; meticulously renovated by her husband, and beautifully decorated. It exudes an soothing and aesthetic ambience. This amazing dental office even offers a coffee/cocoa/tea bar! Really! Check out all the clever and punny signs (even in the parking lot). During that first encounter, I quickly learned that Dr. Dillon is… kind, gentle, and a consummate professional who (believe it or not) truly understands patients with oral anxiety bordering on sheer terror! Dr. Dillon and her entire staff engages patients in a highly personalized, respectful, and friendly manner. She always takes her time explaining and answering all my questions. Dr. Dillon and her dental hygienists practice a new dental care that promotes a patient/person-centic paradigm. It is both exciting and reassuring to know that as long as I’m in need of top-notch quality dental care (at least every 6 months), I’ll go to Decatur Smiles!

Dr. Dillon and her staff are great. They are extremely knowledgeable, gentle, and they treat you like family. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Dillon explained every procedure clearly before she did it. she was very caring and sensitive to my tooth pain. She made controlling my pain her top priority. Highly recommend!
