Dr. Jennifer Duong, MD

Dr Duong is always very thorough and provides multiple alternatives to treating problems. I've been to countless doctors and they haven't given me half the attention as Dr Duong. She's very easy to talk to and asks great questions to help guide the visit. She's made suggestions for things I hadn't even considered because she really listens and tries to understand you as a whole person. But the biggest reason I love this doctor is that she helped virtually eliminate my migraines. I've had migraines for 30+ years, I've known most of my triggers, but there was something else. Other doctors just blew it off as a mystery and prescribed more drugs. This lady over the course of 2 visits helped me narrow down the last pieces of the puzzle so they're now almost non-existent. It was so simple in the end and it was all because she listened to my whole story. She's just a good person. The medical field needs more people like her.

Dr. Duong was very attentive and listened to my concerns and gave me options of how to treat them. I love my primary or I would have switched to her. Also I do know that during COVID the offices do have a policy that if you are 15 minutes late they may not see you as they have video visits scheduled with patients throughout the day.

I got lost and was 15 minutes late. I was getting my first check up with Dr. Duong since relocating to CA. I am diabetic, on a brand new formulatory, I have high lipid panels, high blood pressure, and quite a few other genetic and environmental issues. They scheduled me for two and a half weeks out. Fine. That’s reasonable. Upon my arrival, she flat-out refused to see me, even though there was not a single person in the waiting room. Not one. She didn’t even have the decency to say it to my face. Instead, she used an embarrassed intermediary. I invoked my right to have them destroy the medical records I provided. They haven’t gotten back to me. I’m not surprised. I didn’t find this doctor to have the professional ethics or empathy necessary for a CA licensed medical practitioner. Since she refused to see me, I cannot comment on her quality or lack of quality as a physician. And I have no intention of finding out. Next stop: the CA Licensing Board complaint portal.
