Dr. Jennifer Emma Frank, MD

I have been to her private practice and did not want to see her again because you walk away feeling like you had no choice in your own health care. She doesn't listen and instead adamantly pushed invasive therapies that I did not want. However, when I went to UH, I had no choice but to see her again because she was the physician on hand. It's a scary feeling to go for advice and treatment and to not only not be heard but to be intimidated into intensive therapies you don't want.

I don’t feel comfortable with many doctors but Dr. Frank makes it a comfortable environment where I can talk to her about anything that is going on and she is very kind too.

I've seen her three times at the UH Manoa Health Clinic, but I'd certainly never go to her if I had a choice. She has a bizarrely defensive attitude when you just ask a simple question, but from my experience, she really is a bad doctor, so maybe she's right to feel defensive. I once asked her whether I had a certain condition, because I had particular symptoms, and after she told me that no, I didn't have that condition, she wasn't at all concerned with trying to figure out what was causing those symptoms. Entirely useless!

Dr. Frank is great. She really cares for her patients. She will always return your calls and take care of you. She has been one of Honolulu's Best Doctors every year.

When I first moved to Hawaii I needed a doctor. A friend recommend hers (dr. frank) and even though she's not taking new patients, was kind enough to see me. Her staff were so polite and caring (unlike some other offices I have been to) and the space is neat and clean. She listened to my needs and was attentive (my previous doctor stared at a computer screen the entire appointment). I have been going to see her for 6 years and I love every moment of my time there (even when sick). I hope she never retires and her staff never leave!

I spent years in Hawaii going to see Dr. Frank and really liked her. I have now moved away and I can't get any one to answer the phone or return my calls to obtain my medical records.

My friend is in the hospital with pulmonary embolisms in her lungs, blood clots in her legs and abdomen. A week prior to having to go to the ER with her swollen leg, she went to Dr. Frank with her swollen leg, requesting an ultrasound as she has a history of blood clots. Dr. Frank told her she was sure that she was sure the swelling was due do a tumor pressing on her lymphnode and told her to get a support stocking. (SHe had misdiagnosed my friends ovarian cancer as diverticulitis 2 months prio)
