Dr. Jennifer Gilligan, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Gilligan for over a year now. She is my 3rd and hopefully final Endo Doc. She is always attentive and has very good working knowledge of the newest technology related to diabetes. I'm a very physically active person and she has helped me tremendously in being able to do the things I want without having serious trouble with BG levels. She has helped me with the correct tools to manage my diabetes and to understand nobody can control it but me. I would recommend Dr. Gilligan to anyone who is dealing with any endocrine problem.

I went to this doctor because I read good reviews about her, from the moment she came in the room she was in a "mood" and hardly listened to what I had to say and talked down to me the entire time. I never felt as belittled in my life as I have with her - she made it seem it was my fault I had thyroid issues, she proceeded to discuss her "obese coworkers" and how its a "choice" that they are the way they are because of how much they eat - we discussed my mother being diagnosed with diabetes earlier this year, she pretty much said I will be getting it too instead of that I might. I left her office in tears - will never be going back again. She is a very lifestyle and health conscious person and highly looks down on anyone that is not - instead of helping others get there she berates them for not being there. Her front desk girl is just as rude as she is - I can't believe I paid to be talked down to like this and leave in tears. I highly suggest to anyone thiking of going to her STAY… AWAY and find someone else - anyone else.

NEW PATIENT REVIEW After doing my research Dr. Gilligan seemed like a great doctor to book an appointment with. After booking the earliest appointment (2 1/2 months) everything seemed to go smoothly. I accidentally went to the wrong location and quickly got my self to the right location, I called to verify I was at the right location and told them I would be up as soon as I found a parking spot. I’m not sure if she works at multiple locations but this was in Buckhead and it was a true nightmare. I circled the parking deck 2 or 3 times and after 6-7 minutes I finally found a parking spot. I make it to the elevators and her name was not even on a floor level, as every single level except the one she was on had doctors names beside it, they called the level she worked on something else so I had to go back to my email to figure out what floor she was on. I FINALLY get there and sign in, only to be told I was 16 minutes late to my appointment (they have a “15 minute” curtesy policy). So I… was 1 minute after the 15 minutes and was told she would probabaly not see me, come to find out they went and talked to her and she did not want to see me because I was a new patient and was late trying to find an open parking spot in their FULL parking garage. You would think you would want to see the new patient in order to help them, and not give them a HORRIBLE experience. The lady I spoke with was rude and could have cared less about my troubles of getting there or anything else. Overall one of the worst doctors offices I have EVER been too, and trust me when I say have been to hundreds.

The person handling the phone and check in could benefit from customer service and critical thinking training. At this time, her performance and aptitude are not acceptable. I will not return to this practice because of her. After two very negative interactions, I am finished here.

If you like receiving healthcare from a typical corporate minded mentality, then this is the place for you. If although, you prefer to receive healthcare from an office that prides themselves on providing good customer service without the typical ghetto mindset so prevalent in Atlanta, then avoid this office like the plague.

BASED SOLELY ON MY 1ST VISIT,I WAS PLEASENTLY PLEASED WITH HER.SHE TOOK THE TIME TO GO EVERYTHING IN DETAIL,SHE ALLOWED PLENTY OF TIME FOR ME TO ASK QUESTIONS.I DO HAVE A VISIT WITH HER TODAY>SO WE'LL SEE HOW IT GOES!

She is very attentive and spends time with me; she is good about answering questions and following up if I send a message.

Excellent doctor ... Would not go to any other doctor. Brilliant, but she can explain things to the average person.
