Love her!

I've had several psychiatrists because of moving for college and then my job. Dr. Jenks is by far the best. She helped get my meds right, she is warm, and she really cares about me. I've referred two friends to her and they love her too!

During each of the visits with Dr. Jenks she appeared to be distracted and focused on her laptop rather than the patient. Questions came rapid-fire. It seemed that she had a diagnosis made after just ten minutes. Follow up visits were even more impersonal with little information given to the patient. Fees charged were not consistent with time spent; seemed she overcharged.

My daughter sees Dr. Jenks, and we have been very satisfied with her level of professionalism, knowledge, and especially her caring. She is thoughtful and walks us through her line of thinking, and is very collaborative with us as parents. My daughter adores her. The only downside was that it took a couple of months to get in to see her the first time because she was all booked up, but since then we can get in to see her easily when we need to.

Dr. Jenks is friendly, non-judgmental, and laid back. Her office is in a home but not hers. She brought her dog Sampson with her. He's just as friendly. She's Harvard smart without the ego, and very willing to help. The no insurance thing is a bummer. Who feels like messing with billing when you're struggling to get through the day? Other than that inconvenince, she's a good choice.

She was not prepared for our meeting, did not say how much time she had reserved, did not disclose her fee schedule was and did not make me feel comfortable. She is very expensive yet works out of a tiny basement office in her home. I question her competence.

Dr. Jenks saved my life. She saved me. If you need a Phsyciatrist either short term or long term, she is an excellent choice. You feel better just being in her office, you know after talking with her for five minutes that she WILL help you and that you will be ok. I have been seeing Dr. Jenks for just over a year now and I cannot even explain how much she has helped me. She is skilled, does not judge, and gives you the tools & support to overcome whatever it is that you are dealing with. If you see Dr. Jenks, you are in good hands.
