Dr. Jennifer Johnson, MD

I had Doctor Johnson as a MD for approximately a year, and I had such an overall negative experience. What a disappointment. Doctor Johnson needs to learn how to handle her patients better, be more respectful, and show her patients some courtesy. She had an issue where she was sending my bill to the wrong address, then finally, when I contacted her to make an appointment, she basically accused me that I gave her a false address and told me her system says I live in Newport Beach (Which is completely incorrect, I live in Huntington Beach). After that she kept changing her policy regarding how she wanted to get payed: first it was at the time of the appointment, then it was before, and so on. Furthermore, she simply stopped retuning my messages and calls, and I was forced to get another MD. I don't know if the issue is with the fact she handles everything herself with no nurses or staff, or what but PROFESSIONAL COURTESY is defiantly lacking.

She did a completely unnecessary and invasive exam on my teenaged son, without consent, and TRAUMATIZED my child!

We are so grateful for the care and kindness that Dr. Johnson has shown my daughter. My teenage daughter trusts her immensely, and her knowledge and treatment is second to none! We are so glad we found Dr. Johnson!

Dr. Johnson is the best doctor I have ever been to! With a developing eating disorder during college, she guided me through a comfortable recovery. Not only was she able to help me get to a healthy weight, she was able to help develop a team (nutritionist & psychologist) to provide me with the best care possible. She is always prepared for every visit and has a plethora of knowledge for any medical issues you may have as a young adult.

I have been going to Dr. Johnson for 10 years and I just love her! She is always kind, caring and available when I need her. I don't know what I'd do without her. Highly recommended.

Definitely my favorite Dr. I actually look forward to our appointments. We have such great conversations and I always leave her office feeling better than when I had arrived, even if I arrived feeling great. Highly recommended.

I found Dr. JJ, as my kids call her, on the Internet. I was tired of going to doctors that dealt with the cute little babies still since my kids were 10 & 12. I was tired of the wait and being rushed. I found a gem when we started with Dr. JJ. At the most a 5 minute wait, she books the patients 1/2 hour apart so she is sure to have plenty of personal time with each patient. Once in a while, a patient has a crisis (just explaining in response to another review) and she needs to spend extra time with him/her. She does. THAT is a GOOD doctor. She actually really cares and loves her patients. My son got a very serious staph infection and ended up with surgery and a hospital stay for a week. She took her personal time to not only call me almost everyday to check on him, but she visited him in the hospital and at home! I don't know another Dr. with such a huge heart or who would take their own time to check on a patient. She does take insurance and I have never had an issue with billing.… My kids insurance has changed about 5 times in 5 years (ex-husband) and it has never been a problem! She has helped one of my kids with depression and if she can't help with an issue, she has a book of wonderful referrals for specialists. If you are looking for an amazing doctor for your pre-teen, teen, young adult, with personal attention and no wait, look no further! Dr JJ is it!!!

"Shopping" for doctors after moving to a new area has never been a pleasant experience. I was incredibly lucky in finding Dr. Johnson almost right away. She's so easy to connect with, I almost feel like I'm visiting a sweet aunt when I come for my appointments - one with the qualifications and professionalism to counsel me with care and knowledgeability regarding meds. Even if her schedule is very full on a given day, I always feel I have her full attention for the duration of our appointments.

Very rude. She snapped at my child in the waiting room when they forgot to press the button to say that they have arrived. The appointment was very rushed and my daughter came running to the car in tears. I, then, received a large bill in the mail weeks later. We will not be returning.

Jennifer is a SCAM! To make a long story short, she tells you that she takes your insurance and then years later will call you asking for hundreds of dollars because she all of the sudden (years later) she never said she took insurance. Ok? Well then I would have gone elsewhere. The most unprofessional and irresponsible person I have ever come in contact with. I have heard from more than one person the same experience. DO NOT GO TO THIS 'DOCTOR'.
