Dr. Jennifer Kimiko Kimura

Dr. Kimura is a mobile dentist providing house call dental care to patients in their private homes, assisted living facilities and retirement communities. From 1997-2001 she was a Howard Hughes Medical Internship fellow and Trustee Scholar at Occidental College.

Starting in 2003, she directed her focus on the elderly and special needs patients by volunteering at the New York University Special Care Dentistry Clinic.

In 2010 she completed two years of post-graduate training as a Chief Resident of General Dentistry Services at the West Los Angeles VA, making her a Comprehensive Dentist (a General Dentist who has a minimum of two years in post graduate study). During her time at the VA, she underwent additional training in their Geriatric Unit, Nursing Homes, and Dental House-Call services.

While working for the VA and UCLA, she taught advanced oral surgery techniques to Emergency Room physicians and dental students at the UCLA School of Dentistry.

As of late, Dr. Kimura is a guest …lecturer at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry teaching dental students about mobile dentistry and patient behavior management.

In her free time Dr. Kimura plays with her dog, crochets, and bakes. In a former life she was a scientific SCUBA diver logging more than 3000 underwater hours for the government, military and various universities.
