My son cried when she left the practice in Dorchester. She was the best doctor he's ever had.

Dr. Lennington is our family's peditrician. She is exceptional at follow up and very thorough and patient in answering questions. The only issues that I have with our current providers is the Codman Square facility itself (which is certainly no reflection on the doctor directly but any patient choosing these doctors would experience these issues). Their administrative team is not very organized. My son has had to have several referrals with specialists or procedures, and the administrative team has messed this up 3 or 4 times out of 5 or 6 referrals. They made an appointment for a procedure for my son without consulting my husband and I on the date to find out if it was a date we could even make for the appointment. I didn't even know that the appointment was made until I received a notice in the mail confirming the appointment. They rescheduled one of my son's procedures without notifying me - so I found out less than 48 hours prior to the procedure when the facility doing the… procedure sent us confirmation information. They failed to send a referral up to a specialist per Dr. Lennington's instructions. Dr. Lennington is very supportive of and encourgaing in regards to exclusive breastfeeding, and is not one who will be in a rush at advising parents to start pushing foods as soon as possible. Although we vaccinate on schedule, when we were initially talking with her, she indicated that she does work with families interested in alternate vaccination schedules, and was open and honest with us about which vaccines she strongly recommended and which ones she felt were less important. She is also familiar with proper care for boys who are intact (not circumcised), which is to leave things alone and to not retract the foreskin. The only thing she ever does is to check for diaper rash and she has never attempted to retract him or otherwise manipulate the foreskin.
