Dr. Jennifer Hsingyi Lin, MD

I saw Dr. Lin for 7 years, every six months, for screening and eventually surgery. I adore her. We moved out of state, and I wish I could still see her. I'm really confused by these mixed reviews. She was clear, compassionate and cared about me as a person (as well as my family that she watched grow during my journey with her). I brought my babies to see her. I would go see her in a heartbeat.

The absolute rudest medical "professional" I have ever encountered. Borderline hysterical, accusatory, entitled, gaslighting on top of just not being willing or able to discuss my diagnosis or treatment plans. She kept repeating the same thing over and over, becoming incredibly hostile when I asked questions. She accused me of being "very upset" repeatedly and I said I am not very upset, I am asking questions so that I can properly understand what this all means because I am not an expert in this and she said "I'm not an expert in this either." She kept pressing me to just tell her if I wanted to move forward with surgery or not; it was like speaking with a very rude used car salesman trying to close a deal

Dr. Lin was rude over the phone. She had no additional information only deferred to the nurse. She’d say follow up with the nurse or medical oncologist later. Then in person she was a mess, looked like she had been crying, and couldn’t keep track of her dates and surgery calendar. Her speech was dismissive and paranoid. Something was off.

WORST Dr EVER ! Rude and dismissive . A one star rating is too much for her . She deserves a zero for how she treated me as a patient .

Last year I had undergone surgery on my right breast. I had a mastectomy. Dr.Lin and her team were amazing. I was in the middle of my pregnancy. I was so scared being put to sleep while pregnant with my baby. Let alone surgery. However, I knew I had to get in done. My right breast had become infected. I was in constant pain.This was all happening during the pandemic. Dr.Lin, made me feel comfortable and safe. Even after surgery she came to check up on me to see how I was doing. She really cares, which I’m shocked from all the negative reviews. She’s straight to the point and does not sugar coat things, which is why I respect her as a doctor. I think it’s important for your doctor to tell you the truth about what is going on regardless of the outcome. I appreciate Dr. Lin, Her breast coordinator Ann Hall and the rest of the team. Thank you for caring for me and my baby while he was inside of me. Now my baby boy is currently 9 months and we are thriving!!! If people are reading this… please don’t feel discourage by other reviews. Dr.Lin is amazing!

I had such a bad experience with this doctor. Definitely visit other doctors before making a decision.

Dr Lin is a terrible doctor. I don't know how she is a doctor at Kaiser.

First diagnosed over the phone by an rn. She was very nice but i really do t think this is the best way to tells patient they have breast cancer. Also when i first met with dr jennifer lin and there after she was very matter of fact and to the point and done. No compassion not good bedside manner. After at my follow ups same thing. Came across very uncaring and almost rude. Absolutely no compassion at all. Great surgeon but maybe not meant for this field. People going through a cancer diagnoses need someone caring and compassionate. She was dry and to the point. Her bed side manner is is short and uncaring. I also had to wait 2 months for surgery.
