Dr. Jennifer Mccoy Lyman, MD

Jennifer Lyman is a nice lady. The practice that she works with is rude, condescending, incompetent...They could improve on the patient experience. I would not recommend going to see this doctor at this practice.

I am not sure what the reviewer Ana is talking about??? Dr. Lyman has been nothing but professional, caring, and considerate about my issues. I came to her with a complication from my hysterectomy and I am overweight due to many different drugs I was put on over the past couple of years (hormone injections, endo drugs) and she didn't say a word to me about my weight. She is the only doctor I went to who did a urodynamics test and figured out my issue and I am having surgery with her tomorrow. I feel very confident in her and I always leave her office laughing she has such a great sense of humor. She does talk fast and gets right to the point but I can't see how anyone would see that as bad.

I have not seen Dr. Lyman in quite a few years. I no longer have a need to. But during my years as her patient, I found her to be an excellent OB /GYN. Under her general care, after surgery, she would be there, as you open your eyes. She was always pleasant, and informative. You never feel like you're being rushed. I enjoyed being her patient, and having her as my doctor. You won't regret it.

Great experience! She is very knowledgeable OB, great personality and with excellent bedside manner. I will never change her!

I have been seeing Dr. Lyman for 3 years and have had a few issues that she has treated swiftly and accurately. She is direct and to the point but always answers all of my questions extremely thoroughly. I have complete trust that I am getting the most accurate answer and care possible.

Dr. Lyman is by far the best GYN I have ever seen. She was wonderfully attentive and caring. I highly recommend her!

First, to Ana, I'm sorry for the experience you had. I can't believe you were reviewing the same doctor I am. I find Dr. Lyman to be extremely intelligent, informed, in command of her medical knowledge, and completely approachable and caring.Is she the warmest, 'sweetest' person on the planet? No. However, she is exactly what someone who is very busy and trying to manage multiple tasks should be - direct, to the point, and swift. This does not make her rude or uncaring. It is her personality.Dr. Lyman performed a minor procedure for me in her office that 3 other ob/gyns had told me was major surgery - that I should see a vaginal surgeon or have it done at the same time as a hysterectomy. Dr. Lyman took care of this for me with an inquisitive nature and caring manner that put me right at ease and resolved the problem (to date) permanently.Perhaps some people's dynamics just don't jibe. I've been to no fewer than 7 different gyns in the past 12 years for uterine fibroids, pelvic pain.… Dr. Lyman is the first one I've felt took a sincere interest in ALL of my issues and that I will entrust to perform my laporascopic hyst. to be done this summer.AND, I am more than 50 lbs overweight. She has never made me feel 'less than' because of it.

I love Dr. Lyman, I have been a patient of hers off and on for 6 years now due to insurance changes are the only reason that I leave. She is very gentle, caring and is very detailed when providing information. She does not beat around the bush about anything and she shouldn't; I am trusting her with my care. She gives alternatives to situations and overall she relates as a woman. She is humorous and I feel I can ask her anything, without feeling uncomfortable. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Lyman was very caring, friendly and easy to talk to. I was nervous about choosing a doctor blindly since I am new to GA. Thankfully she took my concerns seriously and was eager to help. I found her staff to be the most friendlist I have ever encountered. First impressions are everything and I was impressed and happy with my choice

I ended up with Dr. Lyman by default, because my regular doc was slammed & I couldn't be happier. I am more than 20 pounds overweight, and she did not treat me poorly because of it. I get kind of cracked up by her during visits, because she's hyper and she talks fast - it's her personality. If I need anything clarified or talked through, she is more than willing to answer questions and discuss. We also joke around; she's just a very personable doctor. I see her at the Gwinnett location and have been very satisfied with the follow-up. The only thing that would make the group completely top notch is a follow-up phone call after a procedure - esp ones like Essure or Novasure. That would be a crowning glory for this practice. Otherwise, I am completely satisfied with Dr. Lyman and the Gwinnett location.
