Very kind and patient.

I’ve seen Dr. Lyons twice (over a two year span). BOTH times we’re horrible (waiting over an hour with no communication, wrong chart (other patients) being referred to, inaccurate printouts, chaos, etc.). BOTH times I was sent home with an incorrect prescription for glasses and had to have glasses remade twice. I would highly recommend going elsewhere and not wasting your time.

Dr. Lyons inspires trust. Two cataract surgeries went exactly as she said they would, and have lasted 11 and 5 years. Can't ask for more than that.

Dr Lyons is so kind and friendly to all, no matter you age or class. She makes you feel that you’re the most important person in the world. She takes the time to explain so well. We need more doctors like her! Don’t see her practice partners—especially the other female. World of difference!

I would love to think my experience is a "one-off", but sadly, I have seen Jennifer Lyons several times (over years) and every visit she treats me in the same dismissive manner. It's odd because she also sees a friend of mine and she treats him just fine. So what might account for the difference? My opinion is because I am poor and have no gap insurance. There should be no difference in how my friend and I are treated, but he has better coverage. From reading other reviews one might also just put it together that she just is an uppity person who loves to lord her position over you. True enough, I did not go to medical school, but she is no better than anyone else. She certainly thinks she is, but she is not. I have finally made the decision to move to someone else. Anyone else but her will do.

Smooth experience.

I have seen Dr. Lyons since about 2007. After 4 plastic surgeries from being hit by a car, I was in chronic pain. Dr. Lyons diagnosed an infection and referred me to a plastic surgeon who after 2 procedures made my eye function well with no pain. I return to Dr. Lyons as issues arise and she reliably figures out the problem and what to do about it. In a year or so I will have cataracts taken care of and I have confidence Dr. Lyons will do a great job. I see some complaints about "bedside manner" but that is just not a priority with me. She has always listened and been courteous.

Dr. Lyons is rude, curt, and seems more impressed with herself than in treating her patients. She does not know how to properly introduce herself to a patient, and gives curt, one-word answers to questions. She shows no interest in her patients as people, and is downright rude at times. I will never see her again. Try Dr. Strombous, who is also with Oregon Eye Specialists, and is a lovely woman who cares about her patients more than herself.

Kind and caring, brilliant. She is the best!
