The real problem here was billing. I have Medicare, but Dr. McGugins charges $740 for an annual physical! I was not informed of this and most of it was not covered. So I ended up having to pay $556. Had I known, I would have declined many of the unnecessary tests and chosen a cheaper MD. That's a lot for 15 minutes.

I have had three appointments with Dr. McGugins and I did not have to wait longer than 5 minutes for any of them. She spends her time with you to get a clear picture of your history and complaints. She is conservative, which is good, because I am always looking for a magic pill. Unlike most doctors that I have been to, she actually follows up with test results and returns phone calls. I have nothing but great things to say.

Dr. McGugins has the rare medical quality of being both skilled professional and caring at the same time. My exam was completely thorough and she was very sensitive in the way she treated me. I'm confident that Dr. McGugins can help me to achieve the best quality of health possible.

Dr McGugins is not only a great doctor professionally but she has added qualities such as caring and compassion that make her a terrific choice. She listens patiently to your concerns so that you do not feel rushed. If she doesn't know something she refers you to someone who does. All in all - she's a keeper.
